Chapter 5: Don't Panic!!!

Shadow's POV

We were all asking each other questions but there's no answer. The only person who knows all the answers is Sonic. We decided to wait for Sonic and talk to him. It's 6:30 already and we're waiting in the living room. "Where is he?" Tails said impatiently and stood up. "Don't worry Tails, Sonic will be here soon" Rouge said trying to calm Tails down. "Okay, maybe he's just running a bit late" Tails said sitting back down on the couch. 2 hours passed and we're starting to get worried about him. "Okay, it's been 2 hours, we need to look for him!!!" Tails said with panic on his face. "Tails calm down, don't panic" Knuckles said trying to calm Tails down. "Hun, breathe, take it easy" Rouge said putting her hands on Tails shoulders. "Don't worry, we're going to find Sonic" Fleetway said to Tails. "Okay let's go, we'll go into groups" Knuckles said to us while grabbing his keys. "Me, Rouge, and Tails will go in town" Knuckles said. "Me and Silver will go to the food shops" Mephiles said while helping Silver up. "Me and Scourge will go around the neighborhood" Fleetway said. "I'll go alone, I'll check the park" I said while getting up from the chair. "Let's just hope Sonic is okay" Tails said with a small tear in his eyes. "Don't worry Tails, we'll find him" Silver said trying to reassure him. "Alright let's head out, if anyone sees Sonic, call" Knuckles said. We all got out and I was heading to the park. I was really worried about Sonic. I hope he's okay. If anything happens to him, I would never forgive myself. I should've done something. I should've protected him. I shouldn't have let him leave with Jet. If he's hurt, it's all my fault. "SONIC WHERE ARE YOU!?" I yelled hoping he would answer me but I got nothing. Okay, I can't panic, if I panic it's not going to help me find Sonic. Don't panic, don't panic, don't panic, DON'T panic, DON'T PANIC DAMMIT!!!! "SONIC, PLEASE ANSWER ME!!!" I yelled while panicking. "Please......" I said whispering. 

Sonic's POV

Jet didn't let me leave til around 9pm. I was limping home and I was hoping that Tails and Knuckles weren't worried about me. I limped and limped but I was only half way home. I was walking through the park for a shortcut. I was tired, hurt, and hungry. I couldn't walk much longer. I was getting dizzy and that's when I knew I was going to pass out. No I can't pass out, I need to keep going. But knowing how much hurt I am, I won't make it home. I fell on the ground and my eyes were slowly closing. The last thing I saw was someone running towards me and I heard them say something but I wasn't sure what they said. 

Shadow's POV

I walked and walked and decided to check the park one last time. I was walking but I still couldn't find Sonic. I was about to leave until I heard a sound. I turned around and walked back to see if it was Sonic. I walked around a corner and saw Sonic about to pass out. "Oh no, Sonic hold on!" I ran to Sonic and knelt down beside him and started to panic. "Sonic, oh chaos" I said while getting my phone out. I saw Sonic was wearing his sweater still. So I pulled it off to see if he was hurt. He has bruises all over him and what's even worse, I saw cuts on his wrists. "No, he couldn't be cutting himself" I said while tearing up a bit. I called Knuckles and told him I found Sonic and that I'll be taking him to their house. I carried Sonic bridal style. "I'm sorry, for not confronting you about your fake smiles. I should've asked you if you were okay and making sure your not doing anything to yourself" I said while carrying Sonic to his house. I got to their house and everyone looked at me and then at Sonic. "Oh no" Silver said as he was about to start crying. "Get him inside and lay him in his room, quick" Tails said while running inside to get bandages and other medical stuff. I went to Sonic's room and laid him down. I sighed, "I'm sorry, this is all my fault" I said and got up to leave and went into the  living room. "What happened when you found him?" Mephiles asked me while everyone looked at me to give them an answer. "I found him about to pass out and as soon as I got to him, he was already passed out" I said while putting my head down. Tails came running back but I stopped him. "Tails wait, there's something I need to tell you, to everyone" I said while grabbing his arm. "What is it?" Scourge asked. "While I was calling Knuckles, I saw that Sonic was wearing his sweater so I pulled it off to see if he was hurt" I said while I was starting to tear up. "And?" Silver asked waiting for me to reply. "He has bruises all over him" I said to them and everyone was shocked and more worried than ever. "Tails, you think I can go bandage Sonic" I asked Tails while letting his arm go."Sure, if he wakes up, let us know" Tails said while handing me the materials. I went upstairs and walked in Sonic's room. "Why didn't I confront you, UGH" I thought in my head. I blame myself for not doing anything. I bandage Sonic and I take a look at his wrists. Those cuts look like he did it to himself. I bandage his wrists and went back to the living room. "Guys there's something else I need to tell you" I said while walking to the chair. "What is it? He's okay right?" Fleetway asked while panicking a bit. "Calm down Fleetway" Scourge said while trying to calm him down. "So?" Rouge asked me, everyone was looking at me. I sighed, "I think Sonic is going through depression" I said to everyone. "What?" Knuckles asked me in disbelief. "When I checked to see if he was hurt, I found cuts on his wrists and those cuts don't look like it was by someone. It looked like he did it to himself" I said while looking at the ground. Everyone started to cry and so did I. "How are we going to ask him about it?" Silver asked while Mephiles hugged him. "I'll talk to him" I said. "You think he'll tell you?" Tails asked me. "It's worth a try, but right now, we can't panic. It won't do any good" I said to everyone and everyone agreed. We all decided to spend the night in Sonic's house.
