Chapter 13: Hold On!

Sonic's POV

I opened my eyes to see nothing but darkness. I couldn't move. I see someone open the door. I couldn't see who it was until they turned on the lights. It was Jet. "I see you're awake" Jet said while leaning on the wall. I looked at myself and see that I was tied to a chair. I was scared. "What's wrong cutie? Aren't you happy to be with me?" Jet asked while walking towards me. I was trying to break free but the rope is tied too tight. "There's no use in trying, you're not going anywhere" Jet said while putting his hand on my cheek. I closed my eyes and looked down. "Look at me when I'm talking to you" Jet demanded. I didn't listen to him and he got angry. He grabbed my chin and pulled me up. "I won't say this again, now listen to me" Jet said aggressively. "N-no" I said. "What did you just say?" Jet asked. "I said no!" I yelled. "Look here cutie, if you don't listen to me right now, bad things are going to happen to you that you'll regret!" Jet yelled. I spit at his face and he let go of my chin. He wiped the spit off and looked at me angry. "You shouldn't have done that" Jet said. He punched me in the face until he was satisfied. I spit blood out. I felt like there was no hope for me. I started to cry. I don't know how long I can take this. I'm not strong enough. I'm just a pathetic hedgehog. Jet stopped punching me and I felt like I was going to faint. "Jet, s-stop!" I yelled begging him to stop. "Sorry cutie, but you need to learn your lesson" Jet said while holding my chin. I moved my face away from him. Jet didn't like that and grabbed a bat and started hitting me. Jet stopped hitting me. I don't know how long he's been doing this but it feels like it has been 3 hours. "I think you learned your lesson. I'm going out and when I come back, you better listen to me or else" Jet said while walking towards the door and left. I looked down and I can see blood stains. I really hope the others come to save me. I started to cry more. "Please save me...." I said to myself. I need Shadow. I want to be with him. I want to be in his arms. I feel safe with him. I want him here with me. I want him to hold me. I want him to stroke my quills and tell me everything is going to be okay. I don't know how much I can take from Jet. I passed out from all hitting Jet did to me.

Time Skip

I woke up to see my legs chained up. I looked around and see that I'm in a glass cage. "Hey cutie" I looked up to see Jet with a key. "Glad to see you're awake" Jet said. "W-what's going on?" I asked. I'm scared to know the answer. "You see cutie, I thought of a great idea to punish you if you don't listen" Jet said. "What happens if I don't listen?" I asked with fear in my voice. "Well, if you don't listen, I'll fill this cage with water" Jet said with a smirk. Now I was terrified. I'm scared of water and I can't swim. "So what's it going to be? Listen or drown?" Jet asked while playing with the key. I can't listen to him, but if I don't listen I'll die. "Well?" Jet asked. I've made my decision. "N-no! I won't listen to you!" I yelled. "Big mistake cutie" Jet said. He climbed down and went towards a valve and turned it. Water started to come out of a drain. I stood up and I was terrified. I can't get out, I'm trapped in here. "Shadow, please save me" I said to myself while tears started to stream down my cheeks.

Shadow's POV

I was starting to get impatient. I need to get to Sonic. Who knows what Jet is doing to him. He's all alone and scared. I need to save him. "Shadow, relax" Mephiles said. "I can't, Sonic is alone and could be hurt" I said while walking back and forth. "Guys, I got the location" Tails said while running in the living room. Everyone got up. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go save Sonic" Knuckles said. We all nodded and headed out. "Lead the way hun" Rouge said. "Okay, this way" Tails said while running. We all followed him and ran as fast as we can. I hope Sonic is okay. Don't worry Sonic I'm coming. We ran for 20 minutes and stopped in front of an abandon house. "My device says Jet's phone is in that house" Tails said while looking at his device. "Okay, we need to prepare for a fight, get ready" Knuckles said. We all nodded and started to walk towards the door. We broken down the door and stood in a fighting position. "No one's here" Scourge said. "Tails, are you sure this is the right location?" I asked. "Yeah" Tails said. "Alright, everyone search to see what you find" I said and everyone nodded. I walked around and tried to find a secret entrance. 30 minutes passed and we all met up in the living room. "Any luck?" I asked. "Nothing" Silver said. "There has to be something here. We can't give up" I said. I looked at the carpet and then it hit me. "Move the carpet" I said. Tails and Knuckles moved the carpet. There was an entrance. "Sonic must be there" Fleetway said. I opened the entrance and I can see a staircase going down. "Alright, stay together" I said and everyone nodded. I lead the way and everyone followed. We stopped and see that there's a couple of doors. "How do we know which one it is?" Scourge asked. "Jet, don't do this, please!" I heard Sonic's voice and we all looked at the middle door. "Well that was easy" Rouge said. "Come on, let's go" I said and we all ran to the door and broke it down. "WHAT THE!?" Jet yelled while turning around. I looked behind Jet to see Sonic in a glass cage and water is filling up. "Oh no" I said. "Shadow!" Sonic yelled. The water was getting at a high level. Sonic can't swim and he's chained. "Shadow, help!" Sonic said as tears were streaming down. "Jet, let go of Sonic" I said while walking towards him. "You want him? Then come at me!" Jet yelled. We all ran towards him and started to fight. Rouge tried to kick him but he grabbed her leg and swung her to a wall. Knuckles ran towards him and tried to punch him. Jet moved out of the way and kicked him from behind. "Shadow, go save Sonic. We'll handle this" Mephiles said. I nodded and headed towards Sonic. "Not so fast" Jet said while running towards me. He kicked me which sent me flying towards the wall. "Shadow!" Sonic yelled. I got up and I'm running out of time. The water is almost getting over Sonic's face. "Come on, you can do better than that" Jet said. Jet started to run towards me, when all of sudden Fleetway punched him. Scourge kicked him and sent him flying. Silver used his telekinesis power to throw him to a wall. Rouge kicked him and made him fall on the ground. "Shadow, go!" Mephiles yelled. "Right" I said and ran to the glass cage. The water was now above Sonic. "Sonic, hold on!" I yelled. Sonic was trying to hold his breath. I saw a bat and tried hitting the glass but it wouldn't budge. "Ha, good luck with that. The glass is unbreakable" Jet said while trying to get up but Tails kicked him in the face. I looked up to see an entrance. I started to climb and looked at Sonic. He can't hold his breath any longer. Once I got to the top, I saw Sonic open his mouth. He couldn't hold in his breath anymore. "Sonic!" I yelled as I jumped in the water. I swam as fast as I can. I reached out my hand and.....
