Chapter 12: Kidnapped

Sonic's Pov

I woke up to see that I was still in my room. It was 2:00 pm and I look around to see if anyone is in my room. I hear my door creak and see that it was Tails. "Hey Sonic, how are you doing?" Tails asked while walking towards me. "I'm alright, why aren't you in school?" I asked while sitting up. "I stayed home so I could take care of you" Tails said. "Oh, sorry that you had to stay home because of me" I said while looking down. "It's okay Sonic, I don't mind. I'm here for you" Tails said while putting his hand on my shoulder. I look up and smile "thanks Tails" I said. "Anytime Sonic, how are your legs?" Tails asked. "They hurt a little but I think I'm able to walk a little" I said. "Here let's try and I got you if you fall" Tails said. I got up and we been trying for 30 minutes and I fell a couple of times but I got the hang of it. I was able to walk a little. "Okay, let's try going down the stairs and into the kitchen" Tails said while helping me walk to the door. We were at the stairs and I was a bit scared but I know Tails won't let me fall down the stairs. "Okay let's do this" I said and tried walking down the stairs and so far I haven't fell. "You're doing good Sonic" Tails said. "Thanks Tails" I said. We made it down and I walked to the kitchen. "You did great and as a reward you get a chili dog" Tails said and I got super excited. "Yay!" I said with excitement. Tails chuckled and started making me chili dogs. Tails finished making the food and put it on a plate and gave it to me. I was about to eat until we heard the door burst open. Tails checked to see who it was. Tails came running towards me and helped me up. "Tails, what's going on?" I asked getting a bit scared and worried. "Jet's here and he's after you. We have to get you out of here" Tails said while helping me walk. "There you are" Jet said coming into the kitchen. "Sonic, run" Tails said while letting me go. "But Tails" I said. "Run!" Tails said. I tried my best to run but it was hard. I heard Tails yelling. "Stay away from Sonic!" I heard Tails yell at Jet. I ran to my room and locked it. I went to hide in my closet and I could hear things breaking and I could hear Tails yell. I want to help but I'm not strong enough. Everything went silent and I stayed quiet. I heard my door break open and I hear footsteps. "Oh cutie, you can't hide forever" Jet said while walking around. I didn't hear footsteps anymore and I thought Jet left until he broke the door down to my closet. "There you are cutie" Jet said while walking towards me. "No, stay back!" I yelled while tears start to stream down. "I said you'll regret it, now you have to pay the consequences" Jet said while grabbing my arm. "Let me go!" I yelled while trying to get out of his grip but I couldn't. Jet put a rag on my mouth and my vision started to get blurry. "Sweet dreams cutie" Jet said. I heard Tails yell my name and that was the last thing I heard and everything turned black. 

Shadow's POV

I was waiting for my friends so we can all hang out and see if Sonic is feeling any better. I was waiting with Mephiles, Silver, Fleetway, and Scourge. We were waiting for Knuckles and Rouge to get here. "I hope Sonic is feeling better" Silver said. "I'm sure he is" Scourge said. I really do hope Sonic is okay. "Sorry we took a while" Rouge said while walking with Knuckles. "It's alright, let's go" I said. We started walking and we were talking until I got a message on my phone.

Thought you can protect your precious blue hedgehog, think again. You'll never find him. Like I said, you'll regret it, especially that pathetic hedgehog

I stopped walking and froze. They can't mean Sonic. Everyone stopped walking and looked at me. "Shadow, are you okay?" Mephiles asked. "We need to get to Sonic, fast" I said and started to run. Everyone started to follow and once we got to the house we saw the door broken. "No..." I said. I ran in and looked around and everyone did the same. There were picture frames on the floor, broken glass, and a few blood stains. I ran to Sonic's room to see broken doors and a few things broken. "Sonic?" I called out to him. I got no response. "Sonic, this isn't funny, where are you?" I said but still no response. I started to panic. "Sonic...please " I said. "Guys, over here" Knuckles said. We all ran in the living room to see Tails on the floor. "Oh no" Rouge said. "Tails?" Knuckles called to him but Tails didn't respond. He was with a few bruises and scratches. "Tails, come on, please wake up" Knuckles said. Tails started to open his eyes. "Oh thank goodness" Rouge said. "Tails, are you okay? What happened?" Fleetway asked. "J-Jet came and he was after Sonic. I tried my best to fight him but he was too strong and hurt me bad. He made Sonic pass out and I tried to save him but Jet knocked me out. The last thing I saw was him taking Sonic....I'm sorry" Tails said. I didn't know how to react. I felt angry, sad, and scared. I started to walk backwards and fell. "Shadow?" Fleetway called to me. "Sonic...." I said. "We'll get him back, we're going to do everything that it takes to get him" Silver said. "He's right, we'll save blue" Scourge said. "Tails can you find Sonic?" I asked. "Hmm well, if I have something that I can track him then it's possible to find him" Tails said. "I got a message on my phone and I think it's probably Jet, is there way you can track his phone?" I asked. "That could work, give me time and I'll see if I get a location" Tails said. I gave him my phone and he went to his room where he keeps his materials. We waited in the living room. I can't believe I let my guard down. I should've stayed here to protect Sonic but I didn't. "Ugh, this is my fault" I said as I stood up. "Shadow, this isn't your fault" Mephiles said.  "Yeah, you didn't know Jet would come" Fleetway said. "We're going to get him back, don't worry Shadow" Silver said. Everyone tried to help me calm down but I'm really worried about Sonic. "I can't loose him" I said as I put my head on my hands. "We'll find him" Knuckles said. "I hope Sonic's okay" I said. Everyone tried to cheer me up and it did help. I really hope Sonic is okay. Everyone was talking while I looked out the window. "Don't worry Sonic, I promise I will save you and keep you safe in my arms. I will do everything that I can to get you back" I said talking to myself. Fleetway came and put his hand on my shoulder and smiled. Then Mephiles came and put his hand on my other shoulder. I smiled at both of them and we looked out the window. I will save you Sonic...
