Michael's POV

It's been a year since the squip incident. Jeremy and Christine only dated for a month and I've been trying my hardest to get Jeremy to see my feelings for him, with no success at all. I'm starting to lose hope, maybe I really am not what he wants at all. But I can change for him, I can get him to love me. I'll get a squip, yeah that's it, a squip will fix everything. I go to the Payless get the squip and get back home before I take it. I grabbed a regular Mountain Dew I bought for the occasion. I was just about to do it when Jeremy walked through the front door.

"Michael what the hell are you doing!" Jeremy yelled smacking the pill out of my hand.

"I don't know, I just... never mind" I say avoiding eye contact.

"Michael why were you going to take that thing?" Jeremy questioned.

"It's not important" I say.

"Yes it is, tell me now" Jeremy said with quite the angry tone. Tears start to form in my eyes as reality hit.

"I was going to get it to help me get you to notice me" I say still avoiding eye contact.

"Michael you don't need to convince me on reasons to want you. I love you just the way you are, I was just to shy to admit it. The squip changes you, that why Christine broke it off, she thought I was who I was with the squip. I want you Michael, not squiped Michael" Jeremy explained. I look into his eyes as he wiped the tears from my eyes.

"Really?" I questioned.

"Of course, you're smart, sweet, handsome, funny, and my best friend. I love you for who you are, not what some illegal Technology from Japan can do to you" Jeremy said to me, then started to lean in as I did the same. He gave me a short sweet kiss then parted.

"Be my boyfriend Michael?" He asked.

"Of course, I love you Jeremy" I say giving him a kiss on cheek.

"I love you too Michael, now lets go flush that wintergreen tic-tac" he said picking up the squip, and grabbed my hand.
