Chapter 7- She's Mine Not Yours

"A...Aiden what are you doing here?" I asked him. He smiles and says, "Good to see you too babe. What do you think I'm here for? I came to win my girl back." I shake my head and start to walk off, when he grabs my hand. I pull away then he says, "Look Br...Aubrey, I want you back but I'm not going to chase you forever. Don't act like you don't still love me. I'll tell you what, go on a date with me tonight and if you don't feel anything between us, I will go back home and leave you alone." I nod and tell him, "Okay, fine. One date and that's it Aiden." He smiles and tells me, "By the way, I'm staying with y'all until you make your decision. So with that being said, I'll see you back at the house." "Bye!" I say before walking off and cussing under my breath, "That fucking asshole probably tricked my sister into thinking I'm back with his Bastard ass" She's a sucker for love stories and young love. Her and Adam were together all four years of high school until she got pregnant their senior year. He then left her and didn't talk to her again until recently. You see, we lost our parents when she was only four or five months pregnant and could had lost Amelia Rose due to to much stress. However, she had no other choice but to be strong and take full responsibility for all three of us. I look up to her for that because even though we have everything we need, she still had to finish school and deal with my depression. She walked the stage at graduation at 7 months pregnant. I smile at remembering how she looked and end up bumping into someone. "Dang Bre, if you wanted to feel me close to you, all you had to do is ask for a hug." I laugh as he pulls me into one. "Sorry about that Cam, I was lost within my own thoughts and guess I wasn't paying much attention." I tell him. "It's cool. I didn't mind it, as long as it was you that bumped into me and you're alright." I blush at his sweet words. He links arms with me then tells me, "Now enough chit chat, let's go find that Birthday dress! I know I'm not your daddy or brother if you ever had one but as your friend, I don't want to see you in anything revealing." I laugh then look at him questioningly before saying, "Is it because you wouldn't be able to keep your eyes off of me or because other guys not being able to as well?" He bites his lip then tells me, "Both of those reasons is exactly why. I mean let's face it, You have a really nice body from what I've seen while surfing and you laying out reading your books. However, I think a dress that shows barely anything is sexier." I smile up at him as we go into the first shop. There wasn't anything to my liking, so we leave. After two other stores, we finally find a store worth looking in. I find two I like and Cameron sits down for me to go try them on. I come out in the first one on and he shakes his head no. While I was changing into the second one he finds a simple short black dress for me to try on afterwards. I see his choice and smile then try it on. "Oh my God, Cam it fits perfectly! How did you know my size?!" I ask him as I come out of the dressing room. He blushes and says, "Sometimes you just know and sometimes when someone is important to you, you just pick up on things." It's then my turn to blush. I quickly go back into the changing room and put my clothes back on. When I go to find a pair of heels, Cameron comes over to me and says, "Everything is paid for, we can go now unless you want two pairs of shoes." He smiles down at me when I look up saying, "But how?! When?! What?! Cam you bought me heels and my dress?!" He nods then says, "Yes I did and all I want in return is a hug and an invite." I hug him and smile when he hugs me back tight. He smells so good. I think he wears Axe by the smell of it. I love his hugs, they're so warm and long. He hugs me as if he never wants to let me go. God this boy is driving me insane. I don't think, No, I know Aiden isn't getting me back. We pull apart after what felt like forever, and he drives me home. I kiss his cheek before getting out the car and running inside before he can even say anything about it. I sigh when I walk in and see Aiden sitting at the bar with Ruby. "I'm going to my room!" I announce. Ruby speaks up first, "Okay but I would like to talk to you about today, So I'll be up soon." Aiden then says, "Don't forget about our date in a few hours." I roll my eyes and leave the room. My sister walks in a half hour later.

Her- "So I seen Adam today. It brought back memories. He hasn't changed Bre."
Me- "Hmm. Are you thinking about getting back together with him?"
Her- "Yeah honestly, I never stopped loving him and Amelia needs a father figure in her life, so why not it be her actual father?"
Me- "As long as you're happy and you and baby girl are treated right, I support your decision."
Her- "So you and Aiden going out tonight. Are y'all getting back together as well?"
Me- "No Ruby, we're not! I only agreed to a date so he would leave me alone. I think I have feelings for Cameron sis. He's sweet, good looking and he makes my old self come out. The one before we lost mom and dad. It's nice and nothing is forced. His hugs, God sis, his hugs make me melt. His eyes are dreamy brown and he has abs!"
Her- "Yeah, I'm not so sure going out with Aiden is a good idea. You really like this Cameron boy. By the way, How come you were so late getting back from the mall? Usually it only takes you an hour to go and come back."
Me- "I was with Cameron! Oh and he bought my dress, he picked out and heels! I didn't even see but I trust his judgement. So it's all good."
Her- "Wow! He sounds like the perfect guy for you Bre. Welp you better get ready for your outting."

She hugs me before leaving to go call Adam. Amelia was staying with him for the night. I'm skeptic on it but I trust my sister. Besides that, she told me that Amelia and Adam got along just fine. It was as if they hadn't ever been apart. An immediate bond between the two. As I get out the shower, I get a text from Cameron saying today was fun and he'd like to star gaze with me tonight. I smile and accept, telling him, I'd be out in a couple hours. Because I don't plan to be out long with Aiden. I just don't. I don't even want to go. I'd rather spend time with Cam. I finish getting ready and go downstairs. I decided to just leave my hair down with no makeup. Because I'm not trying to impress him. He says as I walk into the den, "Damn babe, you look hot! You're not wearing makeup though." He pouts and I laugh then say, "Let's go or we'll be late to dinner." He takes me to a nice restaurant and I excuse myself to the restroom, leaving my phone on the table. When I get back he looks angry and asks, "Who's that boy on your phone?!" I smile and tell him, "One, it's none of your business. Two, I'm not with you, so you can chill. But if you must know, it's my best friend." He shakes his head and says, "Well I have news for you that I didn't want to tell you over the phone." I bite my lip and nod for him to continue. He grabs ahold of my hand and says, "Aubrey, Sunshine died a few days ago. I went to the stables and found her in her stall unresponsive. I'm not sure what happened but I'm going to get down to the bottom of it." I start to cry and tell him to take me home. He pays the bill and does just that. I get home and change into something more comfortable. Mind you, I had worn a pants suit to dinner. I then go out back and lay a blanket down and stare to at the sky crying. I grew up with that horse. From the time I was about three til our recent move... She was my baby and best friend. Gosh this hurts my soul! Cameron walks over and lays beside me until he notices I'm crying. He sits up and pulls me into his arms, wiping my tears away. "What's wrong Bre?" He asks me and I tell him, "My ex is here and told me that my horse I've had since a little girl, died a few days ago." He hugs me a little tighter and rubs my back. "It's okay love, she's in a better place and isn't suffering anymore." "L...love?" I question him. He blushes and says, "Yeah sorry that kind of slipped out. Sorry if I made this awkward." I shake my head as Aiden walks out shouting, "GET YOUR HANDS OFF OF HER! SHE'S MINE NOT YOURS!!" Cameron stands up and says back, "No she isn't. I'm going to go ahead and assume you're the douche that left her only because she was moving. News flash, You left her! She's isn't yours anymore!" Aiden charges at Cameron and just as the punches start, I almost get hit...
