Chapter 15- I'm Sorry Aubrey

Kaitlyn smiles at me as we pull up to my house. After pouring us both a cup of tea, I order a large meat lover's pizza. I then tell her, "As far as what my book is about, it's based off of a teen girl that seems to lose everyone she loves. Her parents die, her boyfriend breaks up with her, her horse runs off and all that's left is her sister. It was easy to write because it's based off of my own story." Kaitlyn gasps, "it's YOUR story?! How could you write a book about your life if it's not over?" I smile slightly then tell her, "It's because I believe in fairytales and happy endings. The girl meets an amazing not in which I happened to have also met one, out of pure luck, I assume. I love him more than I ever thought was possible. I know we've only been dating for a little bit, but I already have deeper feelings for him than my ex." She asks, "If you don't mind me asking, how long were you two together, before you split up? Also why would he leave you? You're like the perfect girl Aubrey. I'm not into girls or anything but I'm serious. You're beautiful, have a banging figure and your personality is just like icing on the cake. I could totally take a few pointers from you." I laugh then say, Thank you Kaitlyn, but I'm far from all that. I used to not be like this. I was a lot bigger. Matter of a fact, I used to be so insecure about my weight that I covered up completely and starved myself. I used to be incredibly shy and stayed to myself until I met Aiden. He and I were together for about a year and a half.  He got me to let my walls down and I lost my virginity to him on my 16th birthday. We broke up because I was moving here. He said he couldn't do the long distance thing or wait for me to come back for summer. Thing is Kaitlyn, I was going to buy his plane ticket here for the whole summer. He showed up close to my birthday after graduation and said he wanted me back." She cuts me off by saying, "You loved him though. How come you didn't go back with him?" I shake my head and take a bite out of my pizza. "I couldn't. He hurt me to bad. He was caught kissing another girl only a couple of days after the breakup. Not only that, I had a deep crush on Cameron and knew it wasn't young to go away. I'm not the type to cheat but my feelings for Cameron overpowered those for Aiden. I had agreed to one date with him, to get him to leave. Well prove I had no more feelings for him. That same night your brother and him got into a fight out back at my sister's. Aiden punched me in the face." Kaitlyn sighs and pulls me into a hug. "I'm so sorry, You've been through all that you have. I'm excited to read your book and see how it ends. I really hope you and my brother last. Reason being, I already see you as a sister, in just this little time." A tear falls down my face. "Really? This soon?" I ask her. She nods and tells me, "Yes Aubrey, this soon. I'm just these few hours of knowing you" I feel close as ever with you. Yasmine has been my best friend since we were little, however she and I haven't been as open here lately. I feel as if we are drifting apart. I mainly feel like a third wheel around her and David. They're relationship isn't something I support though." I ask her why not and she tells me, "They are in an open one. They are allowed to sleep with whomever they'd like as long as the other approves. She had told me of the countless threesomes they have had. Whether it was an extra guy or girl, it didn't matter to either of them. I mean it's none of my business but I don't like it at all. I believe in being with one and one person only. I want something real and more likely to last. I want something like what you and Cameron have." I thank her as I look down at my phone. "It's 11:30. Would you like me to drive you home or do you wanna just crash in the guest room? We have 2 to choose from." She responds with, "I'll just take that ride home please. If there's two rooms for guest what's the other room near yours for?" I blush and whisper, "It's a nursery. In case we decide on building a family of our own or if my niece stays over. They have this bond that just melts my heart. I tell her as we leave. 15 minutes later, I drop her off at home and notice my sister's car isn't parked out front. I shrug it off thinking her and Adam must be out late. "Amelia is safe with Grams." I tell myself. I get home and lock everything up before stripping and headed to bed. I decide to sleep in my bra and panties. Babe comes up from the computer room downstairs. "Hey baby. How was the meet?" He asks me. I tell him all that happened there and with his sister. "Sounds like fun. I'm glad you two could finally meet and hit it off as well as it sounds like you did. So she said you're already like a sister to her? Does that mean we can get married tomorrow?" He asks me with an eyebrow raised. I shake my head and grab him by the shirt. He bites his lip, when I say, "Not tomorrow but soon enough my love. I think I'm ready." He looks me deeply in the eyes excitedly asking, "Ready to start a family with me?!" I nod and he kisses me passionately while climbing ontop of me. I rub my fingers down his bare back and then trace the hem of his night shorts. He bites my lip and begins to massage me through my panties. After removing what we had in, we began to make passionate love. After both climaxing at the same time and him releasing what felt like a big load, I smile all to Soon before tiredness takes over my being. My phone goes off as soon as I'm in a deep sleep. I look over at the time, 4:32 A.M. "Hello?" I answer. "Is this Ruby's little sister?" The person asks. "Yes This is she. May I ask why I'm being awaken at this hour?" I say. They then say, "I'm sorry to inform you but she has been killed in a fatal car crash. The semi impacted her side and she was pronounced dead at the scene. The gentleman she was with is being airlifted and in critical condition. I'm sorry for your loss." I hang up and scream into my pillow for a minute, "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" before Cameron rubs my back. "Who was it and what happened? Why no beautiful?" I shake my head crying my eyes out. I look at him with red and poofy eyes. "R...ruby's d...dead." I choke out. He instantly starts crying and pulls me close to his chest. Then he gets up grabbing his keys and tells me to get dressed. We head to the hospital Adam was being taken to and request information. The lady asks me of our relation and I say without a doubt, "He's my brother!" She tells me the room number and as soon as I see him, I bust into tears all over again. I rush over to him and hold his hand. "Adam please. You have to make it through this. Ruby didn't make it and Amelia needs you. I need you. I've lost everyone. I can't lose you too. That beautiful little girl at least needs one of her parents to make it out alive. Please bro don't leave me." He chokes out, "T...take c...care of h...her. I'm s...sorry Au...Aubrey." After that his machine goes flatline...
