Chapter 8- Goodbye And Hello

Aiden swings and misses, hitting me instead. "Oh my God! Aubrey, I'm so sorry baby!" He says as he tries to reach out for me. I pick myself up and run inside leaving Cameron to kick his ass and run after me. "Aubrey! Where are you?!" He says coming up the stairs. He finds me in my room crying. He locks my door and pulls me into his arms looking at my face. "I'm so sorry this happened to you. I know it doesn't help but I knocked his ass out for you. Your face is already starting to bruise and I want to kill him for it." I choke out, "N...no, please j...just stay w...with me." He nods and lays down with me. I wake up in his arms and an instant blush appears on my face. "Owww." I sneak a quick picture of him just as he opens his eyes and I say, "ooops" He smiles and takes my phone, taking another but of us together this time. It was of him kissing my other cheek, that's not bruised. He sets it to my home screen, then sends it to his phone setting his as well. He looks at me then says, "By the way, Good Morning Beautiful." I hide my face under the covers and he does too, looking right at me. "Peek-A-Boo!" He says, causing me to bust into a laughing fit. Ruby knocks on the door and tells me to come down for breakfast. Cameron says, "I guess that's my cue to go home then." I shake my head wrapping my arms around him. "No it's not! Please stay for breakfast. I don't want you to leave right now." He smiles and says, "Okay. I'll stay but just for you." He links arms with me as we walk downstairs. Aiden is sitting at the bar with Ruby, Amelia and Adam.  He glares at us and Adam is first to speak. "Hey Aubrey. It's good to see you again. I see you have had a makeover since the last time I seen you. What made you change your image of yourself? You were beautiful just the way you were. You didn't have to change. I also see you have a friend over." I look at Cameron then smile until Adam notices my bruised cheek. "OH FUCK NO! WHO DID THAT TO YOUR CHEEK?!" I look down not wanting to say anything. Ruby walks over to me and holds my face gently. "Bre who did this?!" Aiden then stands up saying, "I did it and I'm still sorry about that. Please forgive me." I shake my head and turn away. Aiden explains what happened the night before and Ruby tells him to leave. Adam says he needs to have a little talk with him before he does so. I tell Adam, "Please don't. Just let him leave. I don't want anymore fights happening because of me." I look over at Aiden and say to him, "This is goodbye. I don't want to see you again. I don't want you to call me or even text me again. Goodbye Aiden." He sighs, nodding as he gathers his things before leaving. "Thank you for letting me stay Ruby. Sorry again for hitting you in the face Aubrey and sorry man about the fight. I just really thought I could win her back. Goodbye y'all." He says, going out the door. Adam pulls me into a hug and tells me, "You know, I don't know this boy but I already like him. He seems to be a keeper. Just by the way he looks at you and stays by your side not to mention the look in his eyes. I can tell he loves you. You also know, I would had beaten Aiden's ass had you not had said no. You've always been my little sister and I love you." I smile and say back, "I love you too. Ruby, Amelia, and Adam this is Cameron, my bestest friend. Cameron, this is my sister, her boyfriend and their daughter." They shake hands and Adam tells him, "Hello. You take good care of her, Friend or more." Cameron blushes and says, "Yes sir. I will. You can count on me to make sure she's alright and taken care of. I have no intention of hurting Bre. As her friend or anything else. She means to much to me. There's not a thing I wouldn't do for her." Adam smirks at Ruby and she shakes her head at him. "Don't do it." She tells him. As we're eating our waffles, he asks Cameron, "You said you'd do anything for her. Does that mean you would sit up all night talking about girl problems and do Nothing other than that? Would you wear a diaper with her if she needed one and felt insecure? Would you paint your nails to match hers, if she wanted you to?" He looks over at me and smiles, then says to Adam, "Yes I would, without a doubt. Besides that, we've already done the first question you asked. She snuck a picture of me while I was sleeping. I didn't even know about it, until I caught her in the act again this morning." Adam chuckles and takes a sip of his coffee. "That's good young man. Just remember what I had said." Cameron smiles when Amelia asks us to watch My Little Pony with her. Adam tells me to keep an eye on her since he would be taking Ruby out shopping for my birthday from them three. He wanted in on my surprise and Ruby apparently couldn't say no. They leave Amelia's carseat in case we leave while they're out and about. She falls asleep when it goes off and Cameron takes her to her room then comes back saying, "We need to talk. Since she's asleep and we're alone now is the perfect time to do so." I nod then ask him,"What is it you want to talk about?" He says, "Well first, I want to apologize again for your face. Before you say it wasn't my fault, it partially is. If I hadn't of ducked when he swung, you wouldn't had gotten hit. I want to take you out and have a day with you. Just you and me, all day long. What do you say?" I nod. "I agree but it's okay really, and I say yes. I would love to have a day out with just us two. It sounds like a bunch of fun and simply amazing. I  honestly love spending time with you." He smiles and says, "Good! Then tomorrow morning starting at 11 A.M, I shall pick you up for a day of fun." He kisses my cheek just as Amelia starts to cry. He goes to get her and decides we'll go for ice cream after he changes her diaper. I get her a small vanilla cone and order a cookie dough blizzard for myself. Cameron gets the same thing except with mint in it and pays for it all. I tried to argue that he didn't have to but he insisted. He drops us off back at home after Ruby calls letting me know she's back at the house.
