Haru Yoshida x Reader

Story title: The boy I met in the cafe

Hey Nekos! So, My little monster... I haven't watched this anime in a very long time actually but I do remember that when I did watch it I was very jealous of Shizuku for having Haru! I'm going to set this in a universal were Haru and Shizuku have broken up and they're both older now.

Your pov

You met Haru here at this small cafe that you worked in around two months ago. He had stepped in for a quick drink and had started chatting with you at random.

At first he always looked hostile but after a while when he saw you he was incredibly hyper active and smiling. He had easily became your favourite costumer. Every time he came in you knew you were gonna have a good day. He'd even started flirting with you a bit, which made your heart flutter every time.

Today was another one of those days. You heard his voice and turned with a smile. "Welcome Haru!" You noticed that he was with someone this time. A man who looked slightly older than him with sunglasses.

"Hey (Y/N)! How ya doing?" He smirked, leaning against
the counter. "Better now your here Haru." You winked, being in a playful mood. He laughed and order his drink. Then the other man ordered his drink.

The cafe was pretty empty so you decided to come from around the counter and sit with the two guys.

"So who are you?" You asked the man with the sunglasses. "My names Mitsuyoshi. I'm this monsters cousin." You smiled and shook his hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

"This is the girl I've been telling ya about Mi-chan!" Haru exclaimed, his smirk increasing in size.

"Yeah Haru. She's cute just like you said." Mitsuyoshi smirked. Haru blushed slightly as he looked away. I have a feeling Mitsuyoshi knew that would make him blush.

You giggled and blew a kiss to Haru. He went completely red and put his face on the table. "Awwwhh I'm sorry Haru!" You said, putting your hand on his head and messing with his hair. He looked up and glared, making you retract your hand with a worried glance.

"N-No. Continue if you want..." You were about to but the voice of your boss rang through the cafe.

"(Y/N)!" You snapped your neck around I looked at your boss. "Oh! I'm so sorry! I ermm-"

"You can leave for the day (Y/N)." She smirked and winked before going into the back room.

You blushed as you joined Haru in putting your head on the table.
Mitsuyoshi laughed and nudged Haru. "Haru take this lovely lady out on a date!"

And now you were out with Haru. On a date.

You would be lying if you said you weren't happy. You were squealing on the inside.

You and Haru were have a fun date, acting like you were still kids and running around. You were both very childish at heart. Haru was actually quite straight forward and innocent at heart was what you found out on this date.

Maybe I should ask him how he feels about me?

"Hey---"

"Haru." You were cut off by another girls voice. You both turned to see a girl around the same age with pig tails.

"Shizuku..." Haru said her name as if there was history between them. You felt slightly jealous as they spoke. "How have you been?" She asked. "I've been great!!" Haru replied, with what seemed to be genuine happiness but you weren't sure.

After a minute they said goodbye and she continued walking until you couldn't see her anymore. "Haru. I hope you don't mind me asking, but who was she?" You asked.

He turned and smiled. "My Ex." Your eyes went wide and you looked away. "Oh. I see...do you...still have feelings for her?" You questioned, your voice going low. You may have not known him long but you had quite a crush on Haru.

He looked at you with a serious look. You felt the tension rise as you took his silence as a yes.

"I see..."

You turned away, silently laughing to yourself. It hurts

Suddenly you were pulled back and kissed without any warning. "Mmm!!" You were in shock.

Haru pulled away and quickly said. "You never let me answer!!!" You blushed and looked away. "Sorry."

"I don't have feelings for Shizuku anymore. I like you (Y/N)!" He said with a blush. You looked back at him with surprise in your eyes.

"Wanna give this a go?" You ask, hoping he says yes.

"Of course!" He grinned with that smile you had grown to love and kissed your cheek.

"I love you Haru."

Im sorry if that wasn't as good as you expected. I'm also sorry for the incredibly slow updates!! I am actually currently doing my mock exams. Here's my time table of hell

Yeah as of me writing this I've only done six but I got more coming my way ~.~
