Nora x Female Reader

Story Title: Tunnel Vision

Hey guys! Sorry I've been away for a while. Lots of shit has been happening. That first month has been a mental challenge 😅 trying to stay positive though!

She was always so energetic, so happy, a smile always on her face. How could anyone say no to her adorable face. Well that had just happened the night before.

Ren. The person she'd loved for so long had rejected her love. He saw her as if she was a sibling. (Y/N) knew this would eventually happen, it was obvious but Nora couldn't see it coming.

When she approached (Y/N) the next morning, she couldn't think of what to say. What can you say in that situation?

"Ren rejected me." She said, her voice uncharacteristically cold. "Nora...I'm so sorry." (Y/N) consoled her and hugged her close, yet she couldn't help but think. She'd loved Nora for a long time. But how was she supposed to tell her.

It was like she had tunnel vision and the only thing at the end of the tunnel was Ren.

"Nora come with me." She smiled at her, making Nora's mouth curve slightly into a small smile. "I'll set up a den in the living room and we can watch movies and eat cookies all day!" In around half an hour, they'd both set up a den and began watching a movie together.

(Y/N) felt bad that her heart was beating out of her chest since Noras heart was shattered but she couldn't help it. Just being this close to her set (Y/N)'s heart alight. Half way through the movie Ruby and Yang entered the living room and sat themselves besides them in the den. Nora smiled at them, but you could tell she had lots on her mind.

"Where's the others?" Yang mumbled as she shovled some cookies into her mouth.

"Yeah. Where's Prryha, Jaune and Ren?" Nora shifted a little as Ruby said Rens name, yet she didn't look as sad as expected.

She stood up without a word and left the room. (Y/N) called out her name but received no response.

(Y/N) herself then stood up and left the room, leaving a confused Ruby and Yang.

As she contemplated her feelings back in her own room, one of her team mates came in and sighed. "Thinking about Nora again?" He questioned, a slight smile on his face. (Y/N) nodded and explained what had happened. "Damn that's gotta hurt. She didn't cry?"

"No. Not that I saw of at least. Maybe it hasn't fully sunk in yet."

Your pov

"Just be there for her when she needs you. She'll appreciate that more than anything."

You turned and smiled at him with a grin. He always gave the best advice and you felt like he was the brother you never had. "Thanks (H/N)."

Just at that moment you heard a knock at the door and a small whimper of a voice on the other side.

"(Y-Y/N)." That's Nora!

You jumped up and swung the door open to find the girl who was on your mind so much. "Hey Nora come in." You let her in and she gave a small greeting smile at your team mate.

"I need to talk to you... About Ren and everything really." She said. You nodded and looked for your teammate, hoping he'd understand what was happening and leave.

Yet that didn't happen.

"I need to tell you something too (Y/
N)." He said, confidence in his voice.

"(H/N) what is it?"

He took a deep breath and began to speak. "I can tell what she's about to say but I can't let that happen without saying it myself." You looked at Nora, who looked quite shocked at his words.

"(Y/N) I love you. You came here to say that as well didn't you Nora?" He turned to the ginger haired girl and she looked away, her cheeks pink.

"I realised that the love I was feeling for Ren was not romantic. I love him, of course I do, but not in that way. When I was sat with you, watching that movie I realised who I actually loved." She moved closer to you and held your hands in hers.

"I've been so fixated on Ren since I was young that I didn't realise what I was feeling wasn't what I thought. I just came to believe that what I felt towards him was love when it wasn't. And I've realised now that the person I love is you."

You could feel the tears wanting to escape your eyes as happiness overflowed your body. Your body was telling you to embrace her, but you didn't.

"(H/N) I'm so sorry." He looked at you with a sad smile and shook his head.

"It's okay, I knew this would happen and I'm okay. As long as your happy."

You nodded at him and gave him a hug. "Remember, we're still a team and I care about you as if you're family." You said to him as you separated.

He nodded and walked to the door. "I'll leave you two to yourselves."

The door closed and you looked at Nora, a tear rolling down your cheek. She smiled and ran at you, her arms wrapping around your slender body.

"I love you Nora."
