The other day, Elfira went to the river stream again. She wrote down every ideas that appealed to her mind. The ideas were bursting out of her brain in fact, line after line of words tumbled from her imagination. She could feel her brain transmitting every words down her vein and through her fingers, onto the paper. She leaned against the tree, letting her legs hanging in the air, half part of her feet touched the crashing crystal clear water.
And yet suddenly she saw a silhouette of a guy wearing black t-shirt tucked into his jeans reflected on the water, standing three feet away from her. She could feel the guy was staring at her. It was hard for her to stay focused on her writing. Plus she was getting that uncomfortable icy feeling at the back of her neck. She wanted to turn around when a sudden voice snapped at her.
" Stay right there! " Damien said.He took the average size of twig and throw it at the cold creature.
She rolled over the stone with a groan when she saw a snake that Damien dislodged and had her right leg trapped between the stone. Her notebook fell to her feet.
" I told you to stay at your place. Am I? "Damien helped her to get out her foot between the stones.
" How could I stay.. ! "
" Can you stand? " Damien broke off her words before she could finished it.
She tried to stand but to no avail she barely could move her right leg. Blood stained her ankle part of her pants. She had a small cut. She let out a whine when she saw a half part of her notebook wet. Damien held out his hand, helping her to stand. She took his hands and looked up. When her eyes met him, Elfira felt an embarrassed instinct to look away.
" I'll bring you to my home to clean your cut and apply antiseptic on it before it get infected." Damien then took her notebook and put it into her bag pack. He bolstered her along their walk to the ivy cottage.
" What the hell are you always doing there alone? Almost every day I saw you doing your writing there." Damien broke the silence between them.
" I just love to sit there. So, what are you doing there ? How did you know that i always be there?" she pressed the word 'always'. " By the way are you stalking on me? "
" What are you babbling about? I'm just... taking fresh air and suddenly i saw you. That's it. "
"Why are you stuttering then? " she shot a glance at him. Damien then cleared his throat."
" You love being here don't you. I mean in this crappy village."
" Yeah. But soon i have to leave this place. I have to go back to the city to submit my work. By that time I will miss this place and Grandma , Uncle.. and Eden.... and you. " her face blushed as Damien suddenly stopped and glanced at her when she said his name.
Damien suddenly stop walking, he could feel like the string of his heart being pulled a bit cause the beating of his heart become uneven. He knew that she was going to say that but he felt different when she called his name. Somehow like an angel's voice whispering his name calm but soft.
She looked at him and made a face 'what's wrong?' to him. Her hazel-brown eyes seem sparkled and gleaming with lights that reflected from the sunlight rays. She had soft brown hair like an a bark of oak tree not too dark but simply gentle under any light.
He wanted to said something when suddenly he felt a liquid drop on his bare cheeks.
" It's going to rain we have to quick. "
