5 months later..
There were days that Damien awake and his memories weighed heavy against his head. Morning radio played Breathe by Fleurie. It reminds him of his passed brother, Eden. He glanced at the photo frame and twitched a smile. He may not be in his life no more but he always be inside his heart.
Damien took the car keys on the side of the table, grabbed his French coat and then locked the door behind him.
The tall buildings stood in front of mesmerised him. Moving to the city was quite a difficult decision that he had to make. After a few weeks wept on Eden's death, he realized that nothing would change if he kept dwelling of old memories. He needed to pour sands on the surface of the glass so what kept under the glass will no longer be seen. Moving on from the past was the right thing to be done for him..at least.
The sun was shining through the cloudless sky. Ubiquitous skyscraper were smudged with morning rays. Cars raced between red traffic lights, crowd of pedestrians across the road with their own destination plagued in their minds.
Damien went inside his blue sedan and pulled over the heels leading to the place by which women and lassie would always love to shop called Violet Mall that took 20 minutes from his apartment. He wanted to spend his leisure weekend digging into books at book store inside the mall. He was never a bookworm but her mother's writing always inspired him to read another books that interest him. He pulled over to the parking lot after passing few blocks of buildings to the mall.
Damien scanned the title of the book at the shelves. Name of the author caught his gaze, he took the book as smile appeared on his face.
"Elfira Edward- Sound of rain .." he flipped open the book and placed it in his book bucket.
Damien walked passed the motivational section and there he saw a crowd at the centre of the book store. People -women and teens queued and holding books with smiling face on them. Some of teenagers were giggling and kept talking excitedly to each other. When he took a closer look at the small board with some words and picture of someone that he knew he smiled.
He headed towards the queue and stood in line behind a woman with brown jacket which looked on her late thirties. She held a book with her and on her left she intertwining her hand with a girl child. The child turned around when she saw him, offering him a lollipop from her mouth. Damien shook his head and gave her sweetest smile. The girl shot him an awkward look but then after she smiled too.
When the woman and the child walked away after got signature and had a small talk with the book writer, Damien step closer to the table in front of him where a brunette girl with a braid sitting restlessly, holding a marker.
Damien held out the book to her and she took it and sign on it after flipping a page. "Thank you for supporting me." she looked up to see the owner of the book.
" Oh... what should I write ..Oh my God.!" She took a while to realize who he was and then she gasped. They exchanged gazes and smiled for a moment.
" Can you write about Damien on it..Miss Elfira "he chuckled.
" Oh! Yes! I could write a book of it" she laughed.
