Saihara's POV:
I ran away as fast as my legs could muster. My heart threatening to burst out of my chest. I was terrified. I really thought Ouma-kun wasn't a bad person.
I soon got to my room and locked the door. I started to think of Ouma's motive. He would kill to see if his organization was ok. Did he really love them that much? Who would ouma-kun kill? Was Ouma trying to kill him? Questions like these started to plague my mind for hours, long after the night time announcements.
I was about to seize these thoughts when there was a knocking on my door. I assumed it was Momota-kun coming to get me for tonight's training. When I opened the door, I was greeted by Ouma. But he wasn't himself, his eyes were red and puffy as though he were crying. Ouma didn't even seem to have his normal guard up.
"I...I just wanted y...you to know that I d...don't think I could bring myself to k...kill anybody." Ouma-kun stuttered through gasp of air.
"How do I know you're not lying; you usually are." I spoke the last part in a quiet tone, trying not to be heard.
"Do I look like I'm lying, Saihara-chan?" I could see the tears about to spill in his eyes. These tears weren't crocodile tears, as they normally were.
"You don't..." my voice trailed off at the end. I didn't know how to reply to this situation.
"All I ask is that you believe that I would never kill anyone. I don't even ask for you to believe anything else about me." The tears started to fall from his eyes. I pulled Ouma into a hug. Why did he cry so much today?
"I'm sorry for doubting you." I started to draw small circles on the middle of his back.
"I...It's fine." Ouma replied, wrapping his arms around me in return.
"I...I," I took a deep breath and started my sentence over. "I have been thinking of what you said about escaping earlier. Then it hit me, you could kill me, and make it look like a suicide. I'll ev-" I was cut off by Ouma-kun slapping me. I placed a hand to my cheek.
"Why would you ever suggest that?" Ouma said in a defeated, sad voice.
"Because you have 9 other people to live for, I want you to know if they're ok." I explained to Ouma.
"We don't even know if there alive then 11 people would be dead for no reason, including you." Ouma-kun's voice got choked up at the last bit. "You have a reason to live saihara-chan, all of us do."
"So does that mean you've found a reason to live?" I asked ouma.
"Yep! My family and I think I'm starting to understand love." Ouma started to say and then covered his mouth, with his hands.
"You're remembering a girlfriend?" I questioned.
"Not exactly, please don't go into more detail about it." It might have just been the lighting but as ouma-kun said those words his cheeks turned pink.
"Ok, I won't. If you ever feel like talking about it I'll be here to listen and help." I smiled at the mysterious boy.
he smiled back, grabbed the door, said" thank you, My beloved Saihara-Chan," and left. Leaving me to my own thoughts once again.
I hope you enjoyed this character switch.
