Shuichi's POV:
In the morning all of us go down to the casino, and spend hours gaining enough money to buy a key for the love hotel.
Being in the casino reminds me of one of the first times I spent time with Kokichi. He ended up cutting himself. Despite my distrust and annoyance with Ouma, I bandaged his hand. I miss those times, they were much easier.
Eventually, no thanks to Momota, we earned enough money to buy a key for the love hotel.
Together, we walked down to the love hotel. My hands trembled as I unlocked the door. We all walked in, and to are dismay someone was strapped to the bed. It was Iruma. She was blindfolded and had purple markings around her throat.
What might have been the worst part was that Iruma had a knife sticking out of her chest.
"What kind of sick person would do something so cruel?" I whispered falling to my knees.
"Ouma that's who." Momota squawked obviously upset.
"No. No, he didn't do this." I knew Ouma couldn't have done something so cruel. No matter what I did. No matter how much someone hurt him.
"Well he set a bomb, didn't he. And on top of that he's the one who left all of these clues. He even made a video about." Momota was trying much to hard to convince me, especially since all his attempts would go in vain.
"NO! Ouma said he didn't do it and I believe him!" I uncharacteristically yelled at Momota, surprising even myself.
"Well I don't believe him." Momota yelled back. "He's a twisted and sick freak! And you must be sick to if you're willing to defend him."
My face must have turned into a face of hurt. Only to twist into a scowl just as quickly has the hurt had been made present.
"If you can easily say that about one of your friends then you're the twisted one." I spin around so my back was facing Momota. Then, I storm off to the door, grabbing the note attached to the carousel pony.
I don't dare to look at the note until I'm in my own room. Once I close my door I can feel my eyes start to burn, as my vision blurs and my face dampens.
I open the note.
CLUE: THE NEXT BODY CAN BE FOUND IN A PLACE WHERE SOMEONE HUNTED FOR A BUG ONCE.
I know exactly what Ouma was talking about.
After about an hour of waiting and I've heard everyone go into there respected rooms I make my escape.
Once I'm out of my room I run to the rock with words on it that Gonta found ages ago.
It was just as I thought. Gonta laid in the grass he was covered in dead bugs, and had maggots crawling on him.
Gonta was by far the least gruesome of all the bodies so far. I saw a note in his hand. I grabbed the note.
I read the note.
Gokuhara was in a much worse state when I found him. I couldn't leave Gokuhara liked that though. After all, his death was my fault. I was the one who outed him.
I spot another note hidden under the rock. I picked it up.
I read it.
CLUE: THEY SAY DROWNING IS THE MOST PAINFUL WAY YOU CAN DIE.
My mind instantly went to the pool.
But instead of going to the pool, I decided to wait until morning to investigate.
I hade other business that I needed to attend to.
I walk back to the dorm rooms. Instead of going to my room, I walk over to Kokichi's room. I knock. No sound. "Ouma, it's me Sahara." Nothing. "I just wanted to say that it wasn't your fault that Gonta died. He was the one who decided to kill Iruma. Not you." It might of been wishful thinking, but I thought I heard Ouma crying. I knew that it was a sound of pain, and that's exactly what is sounds like.
I hope you had a good time reading this chapter. The story is going to start escalating soon. I plane to write another chapter sometime this week.
