(EMPEROR SHEN)

I didn't get any sleep last night. After hearing the account of an attack on my oldest son, I thought nothing can shock me anymore. But after hearing Prince Jin's guards' story about General Wang's twins, especially the girl's unnatural strength, I was proven wrong.

Is there something more to the Wang family that I didn't know? I thought my people gathered all the information on that family. Yet here we are, another surprise.

I don't know what to think. I worry about Prince Jin who came home looking like his life is now worth nothing. My son...he is devastated.

I asked an attendant to check on my son an hour ago and nothing has changed on Jin's condition.

"He still refuses to eat. He is not yet asleep. He hasn't gone to his bed the whole night, Your Majesty. He just sat by his window and looking outside without seeing," the attendant reported.

I dismissed that attendant. What is happening to Jin? How badly was he hurt? How shocked was he to witness how strong General Wang's daughter is?

I was foiled by more thinking when another attendant entered my chamber. "General Wang is requesting an audience, your Majesty. Will you permit it?"

I sat straighter. General Wang, here in the early hour of the morning. The sun hasn't even showed up yet.

"Let him in," I told the attendant. "And leave the door. All of you. I want some privacy with General Wang,"

I have to know. I have to hear it from General Wang himself. Exactly how strong is his daughter.

Minutes later, General Wang strode inside my sleeping chamber. Looking stormy in suppressed anger.

"Your Majesty," he bowed down but didn't kneel on one knee.

"General, just the man I wanted to see." I waved my hand to ask him silently to come nearer. "Your daughter..."

"My daughter is rejecting your son's pursuit on her. As of today, Prince Jin will no longer be allowed to court my daughter," General Wang stated.

I was shocked anew. All of these happenings are continuing to shock me. "General Wang..."

"Can I speak to you, as a father of Wang Hua, your Majesty?" He asked my permission.

"Not yet, General." I declined the request. "First, I want to know. Is it true, your daughter..."

"My daughter is but a normal girl...with a gift. Yes." General Wang phrases it delicately like that.

"A gift? Are you really calling your daughters ability to pick two men who both double her size and throw them away...a gift?" I would call it in a different term. Not...gift...

It's potential danger.

General Wang stared at me for moments before he walked to my table and grabbed a small marble statue of the Great Buddha placed there. "What are you going, General?" I cannot help but stood up in curiousity.

"Showing you where my daughter got her gift," General Wang said. He walked back to the middle of my room. Held that small statue made in pure hard marble in the palm of his one hand and right in front of my eyes, General Wang fisted his hand until I heard a crunch and the statue in his hand slowly crumbles. General Wang didn't stop crushing it in his hand until small chunks of marble trickled from his hand and onto the floor of my chamber.

I was left stunned. General Wang crushed that hard statue and almost pulverizing it just from the pressure of one palm.

My knees gave out and I sat down on the edge of my bed again.
