I watched as Dayu entered the private chamber of the Emperor in a confident stride. Dayu didn't even stop to admire the luxurious items on the room, he went straight from entering the door to my side in front of the Emperor sitting behind his wide desk.

"Dao and Hua?" I asked my lover.

"I have dispatched them back to our home. They are with our guards and servants, that's sufficient protection for them." Dayu replied in a bland tone. "No need to worry. Dao is eager to take off his formal robes, he will make haste to get to the Estate to change it."

I sighed, "That boy needs to start standing for protocol."

"Best of luck on training him," Dayu said without any trace of pity for me.

We stopped talking when someone cleared his throat. That's when we remembered that we are at the presence of an Emperor.

"Good, you are both done." The Emperor said in a sardonic tone. "Can we go down to business, gentlemen?"

Dayu bowed, "Your Majesty." He remembered now to greet the Emperor. The thing he should have done right after he entered this room.

The Emperor sighed, "One day, I will either like you, Master Dayu, or behead you. For now, I am still not sure what to do with you..."

"Best of luck with coming to a decision for that." Dayu replied unaffectedly. Of course, my lover won't be scared to the mention of beheading. And it doesn't matter to him either way if the Emperor likes him. Dayu is someone who doesn't strive to be like by everyone.

The Emperor stared at my lover, studying Dayu, before waving his hand. "Never mind that. Let's get this business down. You are both aware that Jin and Lady Hua receiving our blessings is not a guarantee that they will be married, right?"

I nodded. But Dayu frowned, "It's not?" My lover sound perplexed. "You gave us your words already..."

"But two years is a long time. Yes, it may pass by fast but still, that's a lot of days until the actual wedding of our children. A lot of things can still happen." The Emperor explained.

"I see," Dayu nodded. "I understand."

"But until that day, the two of you had promises to me that you have to fulfill. I did my first and second part. Jin is not the Crown Prince and today, they received our blessings." The Emperor lean his back at the highback chair where he sat. "We have done our parts, but the Wangs are still quiet about your part of the deal,"

"Dao is packed and ready to enter the Palace Military Base," Dayu argued.

"Your Majesty," I added in haste as a form of respect. The Emperor frowned at me, "And the other part?" He inquired.

"We are waiting for your orders. You cannot expect us to move without knowing what you want us to do," Dayu stated.

"Your Majesty," I said again because once again, Dayu forgot to add the title of the person we are talking too.

Dayu turned to me, "Will you continue calling his Majesty "your Majesty"?" He frowned at me.

"It's necessary to add that at the end of every sentence you utter in his presence," I explained.
