(CAPTAIN WANG)

"What are you thinking?" I asked my lover as Dayu look out from outside the wide window of our room. When I got closer, I saw what he is watching below in the ground.

Our twin, laughing and talking with the visiting suitor of Hua and the suitor's Royal Guards.

"Hua and Dao are getting more and more comfortable with Prince Jin and his guards." Dayu said softly as I stood behind him. I hugged my lover from behind. Snaking my arms around his middle and gently pulling Dayu closer until his back touched my front.

"Which is good, in my opinion. Hua will marry Prince Jin in the future. It is tantamount that Dao likes and trusts the man his sister will marry so Dao can relax a bit and concentrate on his own future." I said before inhaling Dayu's hair and pressing my cheek on it. I love holding the man I love.

I felt Dayu nodding, "You are right. Dao has his own life to live. I think it's good that Hua meet the man for her this early so Dao can focus on his future and not worry about his sister that much."

I am glad he saw the logic on my opinion. "Now that issue was spoken, tell me what is really on your mind." I said as I let Dayu go to gently turn him so I can look into his eyes.

I know my lover. I know when Dayu had too many things in his mind. We have been together for a decade now, I think by now I fairly know when something else is bothering my lover other than the knowledge that our children are getting too comfortable with a Prince.

Dayu tilted his head a little to gaze up at me. "Should I meet the Emperor now?" He asked me.

That...surprised me. I cleared my throat first before I can speak again. "You are planning to meet the Emperor? Face to face?"

Dayu nodded, "He wants me. You said it. I am the lure to his desire to associate the Imperial Family to ours. Me and my skills. So maybe it's time I let the Emperor see what he is desiring to have."

I feel uncomfortable with the thought of the Emperor wanting Dayu. I don't want anyone wanting my lover in anyway. Dayu is mine. He is mine alone.

But Dayu is not that fond of my possessiveness. Being a strong person himself, Dayu values his independence from our love. The knowledge that he can decide for himself gave Dayu the confidence and assurance that I will not control him.

But I still have a bad feeling about this.

"Is that wise?" I asked my lover carefully.

"I don't know. But I think it's right. His son will marry my daughter, I think we need to meet. And talk."

I ponder his reasoning. "It's logical. But what will you talk about?" I asked Dayu.

"Hua. Prince Jin. ShuYin..." Dayu shrugged like it's nothing but I know that it's everything for him. "You don't like this plan of marrying our ShuYin to Prince Han." That is not a question but a statement.

Dayu nodded, "I think it is enough that Hua will get tangle in that family. Why mix ShuYin as well..."

"Isn't it because the Emperor is willing to let his first born son to us? If Jiang is telling the truth, our family will gain not a Prince but a noble born son. Maybe the Emperor is just making sure that he will still get something out of our family. And ShuYin is closely related enough. She is like our daughter."
