(DAYU)
Faster than we all expected, Prince Jin was well and risen from his sickbed by luncheon time.
We have cleaned his wound and put fresh bandage on it. Hua has sighed in relief when we saw that the wound is not infected. But it will take time for it to heal.
The imporant thing is Prince Jin has got out of the bed and his skin color had normalize.
"Are you a dog?" Dao asked while we are waiting for the luncheon meal to be served. I am just unsettled that instead of one Prince, we are now dining with two.
Where do the Palace breed these Princes and why do I have a feeling that they exist just to annoy me?
And talking about someone annoyed.
"Wang Dao," Hua gave her brother annoyed look. "Your language, truly..."
"He recovers fast. He got shot by a poisoned arrow, Wang Hua. He should still be in bed for at least two more days. But look at him now, he is up and about. Maybe he is a dog with an excellent capability to get well," Dao pointed out.
"I just feel fine." Prince Jin took Hua's hand to put it on his forehead, "Can you feel? No more fever..."
Hua smiled, pleased to see her Prince look well and hale again. "That is good. And you have your appetite back too. Father did well in giving you that antidote that worked fast in your body," Hua smiled at me.
I cannot smile back at her. Maybe I should have delayed that antidote instead of giving it to Prince Jin on time.
I sighed, what am I thinking? I shifted my eyes to Prince Guo and Yong who are sitting together in a long settee and talking about lands in the peninsula.
Surprisingly, Prince Guo refused to leave earlier than his older brother. He sent a letter to the Palace to assure the Empress that he is well instead. The two Princes decided to go back to the Palace this afternoon together.
"If you travel on the edge of the land and follow the sea...will you go back to your starting point?" Yong asked Prince Guo.
"Maybe. I want to try that," the second Prince said while looking down at a map inside a book they borrowed from my library.
"Why go to the sea? The land is better." Manchu said while munching on an apple. We are waiting for food and yet this guard is starting to eat. They said Manchu has a big appetite for food, you just won't see it on his body because he moved constantly.
"Don't you want to travel?" Prince Guo asked Manchu. "See another land, see different culture?"
We all stared at the second Prince.
Manchu scoffed, "I love the Capital, why would I leave? You can get everything you can possible need here. The Capital has everything. And if I want to see other lands or learn other culture, I will read about them and see pretty pictures..."
Dao sighed, "You way of thinking...is really limited."
Manchu was offended, "Oi! Limited..."
Prince Jin smiled at his brother, "I understand Manchu's point. I also like living here in the Capital. And if I will travel, I don't want to go too far. Or I have to take Hua with me..."
I raised an eyebrow at that. Hua smiled at her Prince, "I am not a person who like travelling too. I would rather stay here in the Capital and hone my skills in different things,"
