Hua told us the decision of the Prince to let the Crown Prince title be given to anyone but him.

It was more or less what Dayu and I expected. "Prince Jin never showed aptitude for power. He is too buried on his books and study of the laws of the Land to give himself the chance to study about being an Emperor. Plus the Empress slowly stifled Prince Jin's desire for power by showing what greediness do to a person." I said to my children and lover.

"He wants to be engaged to me. Saying he is willing to wait until Father let me marry. But he is afraid that alignment to our family will gather him more support and they will force him to take the Crown Prince throne." Hua added.

Dayu nodded, "That's what I am afraid too. Although the Prince approached you and court you for sentimental reasons, other might see it as a political move on his part."

"What should we do?" Dao asked.

Dayu and I look at each other. "Protect your sister and Prince Jin, what else? That has always been the plan." I said. Dayu nodded in agreement.

"But how?" Hua asked. "Jin is living in that place..."

"Jin?" Dao raised an eyebrow on his sister. "When did you start calling the prince in his simple name?"

Hua glared at his brother, "Since we said we love each other, why?!" She replied haughtily.

Dayu and Dao's mouth fell open. I didn't have any better reaction.

"Love?" Dao sneered. "What do you know about love?" He asked his sister in amazement.

"A lot," Hua countered hotly. "I learned it from Baba and Father. They love each other that's why they trust and support each other. They talk before making decisions. Jin and I are the same. We talked about important things together and make decisions together. He supports me. I support him. We are like Baba and Father that way." She smirked at her brother, "Poor Dao, you won't understand because no one loves you yet..."

"Wang Hua!" Dayu and Dao exclaimed at the same time. Hua was surprised to be at the end of Dayu's censoring look. Dao looked hurt at what his sister said.

I sighed, "That is not a nice thing to say to your brother, Wang Hua."

"Is it?" Hua looked at her brother. "Dao ah..."

"Am I undeserving of love, Father?" Dao ignored his sister and focused on Dayu.

"I didn't say you are undeserving of love!" Hua flushed a little.

Dayu gave Hua a warning glance. He sighed at Dao. "Hua found someone who loves her and she will love back early in her life, that's good. But that doesn't mean that it will happen to you too. You two may be twins but your fates are not the same. Finding someone to love is not your priority at the moment, Dao ah. But have faith that it will happen to you. You will meet a nice lady..."

"What if it's not a lady?" Dao asked.

Dayu and I look at each other. I smiled at my son, "Father and I will be the last people who will tell you that it's wrong to fall for another man. But you don't have to hurry. You will find that person, whoever he or she might be..."

"And that person will be lucky to meet and love you." Dayu smiled at our son. He smiled at Hua too. "Whoever the two of you will love and give your heart to, are lucky people. Because your hearts are pure and capable of love. There are cruel people in this world, Dao and Hua. People with evil in their being. People with hatred in their hearts. Anger in their soul. You may find this surprising, but there are people who are not capable of loving other people. Some can only love power or money. Greed in their hearts. Some may even envy you and may want to take your happiness away. Be wary of those people. People who love themselves and their desire more than others."
