A Sinner's Secret

Chapter 3 ~ Rebellious

Louis's POV

I finally saw the door open and let in the light from the hallway. I turned on the lamp light. "Where have you been?"

Kade jumped and put her hand over her chest. "Goddess, you scared the crap out of me!" She breathed and shook off her purse.

"So, where did you go at this time of night?" I asked, a bit more sternly.

She looked at me, skeptical. "I went to go return Aunt Briella's sewing machine, like you asked."

I nodded, looking over the costumes. "I see you've finished, they turned out great."

"Thanks." She mumbled, rolling her eyes. I stood up from her desk chair. I was fed up with her attitude.

"You know, this whole act is really getting old." I made a gesture with my hand.

"All these secrets are getting really old. When did you plan on telling me anything?" Oh no, she was not getting sassy with The Sass Master of Doncaster.

"I was planning to tell you tonight at dinner with Eleanor. We planned to tell you, happily together as a family. She is your mother figure, stepmother after all. And she's carrying your half sibling." I told her, crossing my arms.

She brought her wide, doe like eyes up to mine. "Y-you're getting married?"

I nodded. "And she's pregnant?" I nodded again. She started pacing around the room.

"H-how could you?" She asked, just above a whisper.

"How could I what?" I asked, even though I knew where this was going.

"Move on! Just months ago we were miserable. Now it's like you've totally forgotten everything we've been through." Her eyes became glossy and I sighed.

"Don't cry, now." I brought my hands up to rub my face. "I had to move on. What was I supposed to do?! Willow in agony until the world ends? Kade, I don't die, I live until the world dies. I have to move on some time, why not now?"

"Because it's too soon. Wait a few years. Wait until I'm out of the house and have a job and stuff. Not while I'm under your roof." She sniffed.

"You're right, you are under my roof. Which means you live by my rules. That window will be locked and a security system will be installed so I know where and when you will be heading out." I started walking towards the door.

"What?! That's so unfair!" Kade protested.

"No, you know what's unfair? You not giving Eleanor a chance. I expect you to be up by nine, ready to help with the nursery and baby proofing the house." My migraine started getting worse whenever I raised my voice.

"Ugh!" She groaned, slamming the door in my face and stubbing my toe. I winced, grabbing my foot and hopping around.

"How was the talk?" Eleanor asked, rubbing her stomach. I rubbed my temples and walked over to her, running my fingers through her hair.

"Horrible. There's nothing I can so to her through that girl's skull." I complained. "I'm punishing her by making her baby-fy everything."

Eleanor gave a small laugh. "Give it time, Lou. She's been through a lot. And I'm sure a new mom and sibling wouldn't help."

If only Kade could see the brighter side.

Kade's POV

I screamed into my pillow until my face was red. No way in hell am I excepting shit.

I trudged over to my diary and began scribbling furiously on a fresh page. I don't have anyone to talk to, not Andi. So I right down everyday's events in a diary.

If I had someone to talk to, like Marcel, my life would be happier. "I miss you, Marc." I felt the tears brimming in my eyes.

You never know how much you love someone until they're gone. And I feel so stupid for not realizing my feelings for him sooner.

BANG

I turned my head to the window at the sound of a loud gunshot. A flock of birds squawked and flew from the trees. I slowly started walking towards my window, opening it.

Immediately the smell of blood invaded my senses. I clamped my hand around my nose. Someone had killed something out there.

Someone else was hunting wolves.
