A Sinner's Secret
Chapter 11 ~ Sisterly Love
Louis's POV
She's absolutely gorgeous, just like her mother.
Looking at my little angel through the glass screen, I couldn't help but repeat her name over and over in my mind.
Alexandra Rose Tomlinson.
"So," A voice dragged out from behind me. "It's finally here."
I turned around on my heel, Kade looking past me and into the containment center where Alexandra was wrapped in a pink blanket, sleeping.
"Don't be like this Kade, not here, not now." I said, sternly, a little fed up with her negativity towards Eleanor.
"When is the time ever right, Louis?" She asked, boredly. "It seems I never have the chance to be like this, however you see me as."
"I see you as my daughter." My tone was softer than it had been before. Though she didn't approve of Eleanor and I, she was still my daughter, my responsibility.
"Cut the crap, I know you don't want me in your life! All you ever care about is your perfect new life with that tramp and this new thing!" She sneered, disgusted, gesturing to Alexandra who now began to stir in her sleep.
The only thing I could do to release this anger I felt towards Kade was slap her again. My hand already made contact with her cheek before I could stop myself. Of course I felt awful doing it, but this time I've had enough.
"Don't you dare insult your mother and sister like that! Don't act like this is all my fault, either. You have not once tried to open up to the idea of starting a family, not once. If you don't like it, leave." I huffed, my shoulders rising and falling.
Kade stared at me with a straight face, her right eye twitching. "Fine." She spun on her heel and started towards the exit. But, not before looking over her shoulder. "Enjoy your replacement family."

"Kade stopped by," was the first thing I said to Eleanor when I walked into her hospital room.
She shifted her weight onto her hands, pushing her body up. Her eyes glistened with curiosity. "Really, did she say anything? Did she see Alexandra?"
I sighed, closing my eyes and rubbing my temples. "She pretty much excluded herself from the family."
"Oh no, Louis what did you do?" She asked, pursing her lips together in a straight line.
I rubbed the back of my neck. "I may have slapped her... again."
Eleanor groaned. "Not again, Louis! How am I supposed to trust you around Alexandra?" Her heart monitor started beeping quicker.
I placed a comforting hand on El's. "Calm down, Hun. I know, I know. I'm trying to be a better father figure, it's just that girl strikes my nerves sometimes. She needs to be put in her place."
"What she needs is a mother, someone to talk to."
"We'll get her a therapist, a councilor, both. I'm trying to say this in the nicest way I can, Honey, but Kade doesn't want to talk to you." I told her.
"Then I'll talk to her. She doesn't have to talk, but I'll try and comfort her. She's feeling distant from you, Lou, you're her father now. Ever since Tommy hit a landslide-"
I cut Eleanor off. "She's on her own." It finally dawned on me.
Kade's POV
"So you're the newest Tomlinson, aye?" I stared down at the little newborn girl who squirmed in her container. "What's so special about you? Is it because you're famous now? I was never in the news, but you're drowning in it."
I read the name plate attached to her container. "Alexandra Rose Tomlinson? What a boring name." I scoffed, taking a look at the other babies.
I could be cruel and switch out Alexandra with another baby girl, but that wouldn't be fair to the other family. I glanced back at Alexandra, falling asleep again. Is that all babies do? Sleep? Bleh, they're so boring.
"Aw, she's adorable!" Theo, George, and Marcel walked in. Theo started making silly faces at her, reaching out to hold her.
"Don't touch it!" I sneered. "We're only here for a minute, then we're out."
Theo looked at me like I was stupid. "It's a baby, Kade. What harm can an innocent do?"
"Yeah well, that innocent is the product of a home wrecker." I rolled my eyes, shaking my head in disapproval.
"You can't be pissed off at your dad forever." George said, smiling at Alexandra.
"Is everyone against me?"
"Of course not, babe." Marcel said, coming over to me. I smiled at him. "But, you could ease up a bit." I dropped my smile and pushed past him.
"Whatever."
