Eh this is kind of a filler chapter but I promise you that I am building up the drama and action. And it kind of sucks.

Chapter 8 ~ Showing Off

Marcel's POV

Kade giggled when I told her my "badass" story of how I "rebelled" against Aphrodite's wishes. Kade's head was in my lap and I played with her hair.

"Never in my wildest dreams would I imagine Goody-Two-Shoes Marcel Styles to be so rebellious." She laughed again.

"That's just how I am, babe." I failed at winking, earning another laugh.

"It's actually kinda hot." She said, sitting up and crawling on top of me. Pretty soon, she towered above me, her arms on either side of my face. Heat rushed to my cheeks and I tugged at my collar, beginning to sweat.

"Is it hot in here? My collar's chafing." I loosened my tie to get the air in.

"Well you look like you're ready to go to a fancy skiing trip and it's one hundred degrees in this house. I'm wearing this and I'm sweating." She gestured to her strapless turquoise Aztec printed romper.

"Hey! PDA is not acceptable to my innocent eyes!" Theo said, munching on popcorn. Kade and I rolled our eyes.

"Where's Louis? Shouldn't he have kicked Theo out yet?" I raised an eyebrow and smirked, loving the feeling of my new found confidence.

Knock knock.

"That's probably him now." Kade sighed, getting off of me. I whined, wanting to feel her against me again.

I watched Kade open the door, expecting to see an upset Louis wondering why two boys were with her alone. "George?"

I sat up, furrowing my eyebrows. A tall boy, who's face was covered by a bouquet of flowers, stood at the doorway. He moved the flowers aside, revealing a big grin. "Yes! I should always trust that guy who lives behind Mr. Wang's Chinese restaurant."

"And you got my address how?" Kade put her arm across the threshold, blocking him from stepping inside.

"The guy who lives behind Mr. Wang's restaurant!" He smiled bigger and held the flowers out in front of him. "Oh, these are for you. I saw them at the flower shop and they reminded me of you, beautiful and breathtaking."

Oh please, Romeo.

I stood up from my spot on the couch and walked over to Kade, draping an arm around her shoulders, possessively. "Kade, love, who's this?"

"This is George." She said, a bit awkward.

George stuck his hand out, taking a step through the threshold. "Hey, man."

It wasn't long before Theo's protective senses went off. "Kade get behind me, he's showing resistance!" Theo dropped his food and whipped out a charged taser.

"No! Put down the taser, Theo, put it down." Kade said slowly, as if talking to a child.

Theo grunted and stuck it in his back pocket. "Next time." He promised, glaring at George.

"Crazy family." George muttered under his breath.

"So, how'd you two meet?" I questioned, suspiciously.

"Hunting, saved her life." He nudged Kade's chin. "You're welcome, gorgeous."

"Cocky and arrogant, I like him already." I muttered under my breath, sarcastically.
