"My naman... ayoko nga po ng engrandeng debut.  I just want something simple. Pwede namang kumain na lang tayo sa labas nang magkakasama. If there's going to be a cotillion, malaking pera pa po ang gagastusin niyo. Atsaka isa pa, next week na po iyon. I don't want to rush anyone," I pouted while looking seriously at the screen of my laptop. "My, Dy, please... This is my birthday. Let me have what I want."

Umiling si Mommy kaya bumakas ang pagpoprotesta sa mga mata ko. "It's a once-in-a-lifetime event, sweetie. Hayaan mo na kami ng Daddy mo."

"Honey, let your daughter decide for herself. It's her day," Daddy retorted. "We only want her happiness. If that's what she wants, then we'll give it to her."

"Daddy, you're the best!" my eyes twinkled, and I blew him a flying kiss.

"Ewan ko sa inyong mag-ama kayo," Mommy rolled her eyes, which made me smile. There was only one meaning to that. She couldn't do anything about it. "But if we're going to celebrate your birthday in a restaurant, I still want to meet your boyfriend, de acuerdo?"

Tumango ako. "Yes, My. Thank you po!"

"I already booked tickets for a direct flight from here to Manila," I was even more excited to fetch them at the airport when Mommy announced that! "We can't wait to see you, sweetie!"

"I can't wait to see you, too, My! All of you!" I smiled broadly.

Ang saya-saya ko! Para kasing magiging best birthday ever ko itong mangyayari this year.

I couldn't wait for them to meet Dashed!

We chatted for a few more moments before they ended the video call. Daddy needed to get ready for work, and Mommy had errands to run. So here I am, mag-isa ako sa kwarto ko ngayon at kasalukuyang nag-iisip kung anong magandang gawin para hindi ako masyadong ma-bore sa bahay.

I wanted to text Dashed, but I didn't want to bother him since he's out with his family today. Ano ba 'yan. Pakiramdam ko umiikot na lang ang buhay ko sa company niya.

Pero I couldn't help it naman e, not when he's so enjoyable to be with. Kahit sa mga simple jokes lang niya, napapangiti na agad ako.

And to be honest... it felt like just seeing his smile makes my whole day complete.

Kinagat ko ang ibabang parte ng labi ko para pigilan ang isang matamis na ngiting gustong kumawala sa akin. Gosh. This is not the usual me. Iyong tipong sa isang simpleng bagay lang, kinikilig na.

Kaso hindi, e. When Dashed came out into the picture, my perspective suddenly changed. Naramdaman ko na lang din bigla na ang saya mabuhay dahil sa kanya, dahil kasama ko siya.

In the end, in-open ko na lang 'yong Facebook account ko and, as expected, I was flooded with notifications. Requests. Messages. Ugh. There were so many people messaging me even though I didn't really know them personally. As I scrolled down, I realized that they were just trying to get close to me because apparently, boyfriend ko si Dashed.

Well. People and their tactics nowadays.

I went to my timeline. Then I was surprised to see a status tagged to me by Dashed ten minutes ago, along with a picture of two T-shirts.

I almost squealed when I saw that! Ilang beses ko pang pinaulit-ulit na binasa iyong caption para malaman kung totoo ba yon, o namamalikta lang ako!

Pero gosh.

It was real!

And 'yong kilig ko sa mga oras na 'to, hindi ko na maipaliwanag!

Maraming nagcomment at naglike don sa pinost niyang iyon. Some even seemed more excited than me. Maraming nang-aasar din. But instead of getting annoyed, dumoble pa iyong ngiting suot-suot ko.

I composed myself and typed my reply in the comment section.
