Epilogue
2 months later...
"Mommy! I shouted as I hurried back to my room to fix my dress.
I was frantic as I tried to get myself together. I didn't finish baking the cake earlier, so I ended up taking a late shower. Gosh!
"Can you just help me with this dress?" I asked her in frustration.
Ang sikip kasi ng binili ni Mommy! Hapit na hapit iyon sa katawan ko. It was a bateau one shoulder dress.
"Fine! Akin na nga!" Teegan grumbled, pulling the zipper up forcefully. I winced as the dress felt like it was about to burst. "Ayan kasi! Ano, teh?! Balak kang gawing baboy ng jowa mo?!" she complained again while struggling with the zipper. "'Yong hairdryer mo i-ready mo na!"
In the end, she ended up doing my makeup too since we were really running out of time.
Today is December 24th. Both sides of our families agreed to celebrate Christmas here at home. Of course, Mom went all out with the dishes. And speaking of them, they've been here since the last week of November.
And as you can see, everything has finally fallen into place.
I was heading to the restroom that time when I heard his familiar voice screaming continuously outside. Nakalupong ang mga tao ron so I couldn't quite figure out who was speaking.
A few moments later, I heard the intercom announcement saying that the plane bound for Spain would depart at any moment.
I had already turned my back, but the moment I heard my name, my heart pounded so fast.
Gods! It was Dashed!
He was screaming my name between sobs.
I didn't care if I missed my flight to Spain anymore. Dashed was more important. He was more important than anything else.
I approached him, thinking that what I heard was enough. I also realized that if I were to leave him, I wouldn't be happy. Because at that point, being in a relationship with him is my only happiness. It is the only thing that could fill the void in my heart.
So, instead of running away, I chose to give our relationship another chance. Thankfully, it worked out.
Seirra eventually apologized to me after that day, so I felt even better. She's now in California with her family. I'm happy for her, though. At least she had the decency to apologize. Who am I to hold a grudge, right? I accepted her apology without any hesitation.
But anyway, Dashed and I went through a long process before my family finally accepted us. It wasn't easy for Dashed. Especially with the hardships my hermanos put him through.
You're worth fighting for."
And with those words, we surpassed everything.
