"Dashed... si Kuya Brent ang maghahatid sa'kin ngayon." I sighed when I saw the disappointment in his eyes after I said that.

"Bakit ba kasi ganyan ka?" and there it is, I found myself bursting out into tears. I was wrong. I could never hold it in. My chest felt so heavy, and I could barely breathe properly. "Dashed, don't you think your betrayal is enough for me? Tanggap ko naman na, e. Wala akong karapatang magalit. Dahil simula pa lang, alam ko namang pagpapanggap lang ang lahat ng ginawa nating dalawa," I punched his chest, but he didn't even flinch. He wiped away my tears before enveloping me in a tight hug.

"Give me a chance to correct my mistakes, baby... You're mine. I marked you a long time ago. Other guys shouldn't come near you because if they do..." he kisses my temple nonstop. "I'd be losing my damn sanity. Believe me, baby... I can't imagine seeing you happy with some other man. I can't bear to lose you. I fucking can't..."

"Please stop..." I uttered under my breath. "Stop making false hopes, Dashed. I've reached my last straw. This is enough. This pain is enough," my voice trembled with the last syllable. "My life is too dramatic. This is enough. Stay away from me. I can't take any of this anymore!"

"Lumayo ka sa'kin, hindi ba?"I was slightly startled when his tone changed. I went cold. Tears welled up again. "Do you know where my soul went when you weren't around? I tried, Bronwyn! But I don't want to fool myself anymore. I can't do it," he looked directly into my eyes. "Hindi ko kaya 'yang pinapagawa mo."

I breathed deeply as tears continued to fall. "I'll do it if you can't. I'll do it."

"Fuck," naramdaman ko ang mas lalong paghigpit ng pagkakahawak niya sa'kin. "Go ahead and run away from me. But I'm telling you, Bronwyn..." I was caught off-guard when he closed the gap between us and gave me a peck on the side of my lips. "I'll never get tired of chasing you."

And our lips met.

And you know what's absurd about this? I freaking responded.
