-Hope's P.O.V-
I am so excited I get to finally do somethings on my own. I can not wait until my arm is healed. I mean then it's pretty much me being normal again. Well except for the fact I have to do therapy. I know I can't get better on my own. It sucks. I wish I hadn't climbed that stupid tree. I guess I should be happy I get a leg back. I know that I have to go through therapy and all to get the strength back. It will be worth it. Mom played a bunch of different songs for Ashley and I. We were jamming out in the backseat.
When we got home, I got out and walked to the house. "Mom, I am going upstairs." I said. "Take Ashley with you." She said. "Okay." I said. "You go first. I'll follow you up to your room just incase you fall." Ashley said. "Okay." I said. I slowly walked up the stairs making sure I wasn't going to fall. There was a slight pain though.
After some time, we finally made it to my room. "We did it." I said. "You look like your in pain." Ashley said. "My leg hurts from walking up the stairs." I said. "You should tell your mom. She'll probably give you medicine for it." She said. "You're right, but I don't want nor need any medicine." I said. "You need something if your leg hurts just from walking up the stairs. You are an idiot, if you don't go get any medicine." She said. "I don't want any." I said. She looked over at me very disappointed. "I can't believe you are this stupid." She said. "I really don't want any medicine. My body can get used to it." I said. "I know that." She said. "I just don't want my body to get to the point that I become addicted to it. That seems really scary in my eyes. I know I should go get the medicine, but it's scary to think that I can become addicted to it." I said. "If that's all you're worried about tell your mom. I think she would understand, especially with the fact that it has to deal with your health." She said. "Can you go get her, and ask her for medicine for me?" I asked. "Sure." She said.
When Ashley left my room I got my computer out to play on. I could hear someone walking up the stairs to me, I think. Then there was a knock on my door. Mom walked in. "Ashley told me you wanted to talk and some medicine." Mom said. "Yes. Can I have the medicine?" I asked. "Sure." She said. She handed me the medicine and a cup of water. I easily took the medicine. "Now what do you want to talk about?" She asked. "I'm scared." I said. "Of what?" Mom asked. "Getting addicted to the medicine." I said. She looked at me shocked. "If you don't want to take the medicine the doctor gave you; I can give you Advil." Mom said. "It may not help that much though. I do understand the fact that you are scared. It's okay to be scared, but your father or I will never allow you to become addicted." She added. "Okay." I said. "As of right now though, you will take them. If I see a change in you at all I will stop giving you them." She said. "Am I able to ask for Advil instead of those pills?" I asked. "Yes. You may. Never be afraid to ask me for Advil." She said. "Okay." I said. "If you want to talk to me about anything, don't be afraid. I want the best for you, and if you think something like this I want to know. Sometimes what I think is good for you may not be the best thing possible." She said. "Okay." I said. "I will go get Ashley and you two can do anything legal." She said. "Thanks Mom." I said. "No problem." She said. She hugged me before going to get Ashley.
Soon Ashley was back in my room and sat next to me on my bed. "So what do you want to do?" Ashley asked. "I want to watch some Netflix." I said. "Let's do that!" Ashley said excitedly. "What do we watch though?" I asked. "That show everyone seems to be talking about." She said. "Stranger Things?" I asked. "Yes." She said. "Okay." I said. I turned on my TV, and went to the Netflix app. My TV could connect to the internet. This made it so much easier when I wanted to watch Netflix. "Can I go get some snacks and drinks?" Ashley asked. "Yes. Please get me some Monster's." I said. "I kind of figured that you would want those." She said. "Any specific snack?" She asked. "No." I said. "Okay. Don't start it without me." She said. "I won't. I promise." I said.
When Ashley came back with the snacks and drinks, I started Stranger Things. This show looked really cool. I have heard of it. I am not one to do anything everyone else does, but I feel like this was a good decision. It seems like something I would totally watch. Ashley handed me some Monster's to keep by myself because she wanted to watch this in one sitting. If one of us had to pee, we would both take a bathroom brake and pause the show. There was two seasons; I think we can get both of these done. I guess Ashley had the same idea. "We can do this." She said. "I know." I said.
----A/N----
Who has watched Stranger Things? If you haven't I highly recommend it. Such a good Netflix series. I usually hate something when it's so popular, but this was amazing. So if you are questioning watching it, it is worth it. I won't put anything else with that so no spoilers happen, and please don't put any spoilers either. I have seen both seasons, but I don't want anyone being spoiled. Sorry I haven't updated. I really have been busy and hopefully this makes it up.
