"It's about time Violet finally stopped crying," Arianna says.

I jump from my bed across the room to hers. "Yes. Praise The Lord! But remember, you signed up for this."

She sighs. "I know. You're my best friend. I couldn't just let you and your baby live on the streets. Who couldn't love this little sweetie?"

"I can't thank you and your parents enough. I don't know what I would have done without you guys." I say

"Well," she answers. "You probably could have done pretty well with the money you got from the end of the lawsuit."

"True. Brent still owes my $400,000. Who would have thought I could have been paid so much to make up for his assault? Good thing Brittany's dad is a lawyer. I never could have done this all with out her."

"Yea. I never knew she had a whole different side to her. I jut thought she was a hardcore bitch." Arianna says. "But it's good to know she can be really nice too."

"True. I'm just glad Violet is going to get to live a nice life. One much better than mine. I'm thankfuk she's healthy, but I'm glad she doesn't look like her father." I look over to the crib and smile.

Arianna follows my gaze. " Me too. He doesn't deserve to get to be part of her life. He's a total douche.

"Mhm." I say. "Either way though. I'm glad he's here. She keeps me going. I love her so much."

"I'm glad you finally know what real love is."

Violet begins screaming. I get up and take her out of the crib. I run her back and she calms down. " Me too. I never would have known this happiness without you. Thank you. "

"No problem. It's what best friends do. You would do the same. "

I smile and lay violet back down and head to my bed. " Arianna, I don't know what I would do without you."

She comes over and hugs me. "Luckily, you'll never have to know.
