Beneath the Surface

Chapter 19

The rest of winter break came and went too fast. But I mean that In a good way. When shook started up again, that meant I had my sweetie pie back.

Arnesto met me at my locker the first morning back. He put his hands over my eyes and said "guess who?"

I smiled and took his hands off my eyes. I turned around and kissed him. He began to kiss me back and pushed me against my locker.

It was so nice to have him back. I had missed his kisses. A teacher came by and ended it all too soon.

"So how was California sweetie?" I asked him.

"Hot. And wet. And beautiful. Kinda like you babe." I laughed when he said that.

"Is it nice there?"

" It's alright. But no where is better than where you are," he answers back.

"Awwww. That's so sweet. I missed you sooo much," I say giving him a big hug.

" I missed you too." He glances down to my books. "We should probably get you to class. Can I carry your books for you?"

He reaches for my books, but I push his hands away. " I'm a sting independent women that don't need no man...to carry my books."

We laugh and he grabs my hand. "Well then I guess this is the next best thing."

We walk to class and kiss goodbye. We won't see each other again until swimming tonight. But I sure will dream about him all day.

"Daaaammmn. That was a long practice." I complain in the locker room.

"Dude. I swim distance. And even I thought that whole set was unnecessary," Erin shares.

Arianna puts her stuff in her bag. "Aw come on guys. It wasn't that bad." we all shoot her dirty looks.

"Girl if this was survivor, you sooooo would be voted off the island." I say with a laugh.

"The tribe has spoken. Get out!". Andy says with a straight face and starts to sing the survivor theme song as Arianna starts to leave. We all laugh at her silliness.

The rest of us grab our bags and follow her out the door. We head up the stairs.

When we get to the too, Erin and Andy leave to catch their rides.

Arianna is halfway out the door when she looks back to me. "Do you need a ride, or naw?"

I laugh. "Naw. Arnesto is giving me one. We have some catching up to do.

Arianna comes back to me and punches me in the arm. "Get some!" she says with a wink.

I laugh as she leaves. Oh that girl always knows how to get me.

Shortly after, Arnesto emerged from the boys locker room. "Is it just me, or was that all a little unnecessary?" he says.

"That's what I'm saying," I say back as we head to his car.

I open the trunk and throw my stuff inside. Arnesto does the same. He also leans over and whispers in my ear "well I hope you saved some of your energy."

I giggle a little and head to the passenger seat. I get inside and wait for him.

We leave the parking lot and head for home...or so I thought.

"That's my street." I say to him as he passes it by.

"I know," he says with a little grin.

I look at him very confused. "Then where are we going?"

"Oh you'll see." we drive for a little until we get to the outskirts of town. Arnesto pulls into an empty parking lot for an abandoned store. "Here we are."

I look around "where exactly is here?"

He turns to me and shuts down the car. He leaves the radio on softly. "It doesn't really matter because no one else is here. It's just you and me. Alone in the car."

I look at him and try I figure out what he's saying. "It sounds like you're trying to say you want to-"

I never finish my thought because he interrupts me with passionate kissing. We make out for awhile until he pulls me into the back seat.

He starts to take my clothes off. And I stop him. "Right here? in the car? what if someone sees us?"

He chuckles a little. "Relax baby. It's just us. Sides. We're young. We gotta have a little fun."

So I let him proceed. I'm surprised at how out love has grown. A few weeks ago, I didn't want to do anything like this. And now? I'm like a serious badass.

He reaches under the seat and pulls out a condom. He slips it on and I take off the remainder of my clothes.

I thought the whole experience was quite fun... until the red and blue lights started flashing.
