"Good morning everyone. " Austin Ames starts.

"First, I would also like to thank everyone here today. I know everyone here has worked hard to make the company what it is today. We all want to see that it becomes even better in many ways. "

"That is my mission for this company. To enrich lives and make it easier for everyone to go about their daily life. So today, I ask all of you, the old and the new people, to help me make the company better. So that the ones coming after us can reap what we sowed."

One of his hands is talking with him, while the other is resting calmly in his pants pocket.

While he talks a sense of wonder travels over the room, people are listening.

"The company was started with the idea of changing lives three generations ago, I would like to build further on that idea. I can do that. With the help of all of you. Thank you."

Everyone starts clapping hands and I have to follow their lead. It was a small speech, but I can see he already has everyone on his side.

I don't know much about him, and I tell myself to go do some reading about him as soon as I can. I like knowing who I'm working for. I have done a lot of reading on the company and I know about his grandfather who started the company. He died a while back leaving a great legacy to his son and grandson.

So far the son has done well. Now it's up to the grandson to do better I guess.

"Right my people!" Debbie says.  "Here is your first assignments. Please don't disappoint me. You all were chosen from the masses. Do great things and you shall be rewarded! And that concludes my pep talk!"

Debbie starts handing out sheets to the interns after she told us to each take a cubicle.

"Normally the boss would come and welcome the new interns, but I guess that would have to wait today."

She suddenly turns to me where I'm sitting hidden in one of the corner cubicles at the back.

"No no. That won't do errand girl... Nancy right?" She asks.

"No it's Natalie, but you can call me Nat for sort." She nods her head in approval.

"I need you to be a little closer to my office, so exchange cubicles with ginger over here." She says to a guy with red hair who is sitting the closest to her office door.

And with that, she walks into her office and I'm left with the other interns looking at me, some with jealousy, others with hate...

"Brown noser." I hear someone whisper behind me as I make my way to the front. And I know I would have to establish some rules already.

"What are you, twelve-year-old girl." I snap at the guy loudly. I find his gaze and hold it. When he just shrugs his shoulders, I move on.

"Wow, aren't you firecracker."

I hear the voice who had everyone worshipping him after the small speech he gave this morning.

For some reason, my heart jumps and I have to force myself to turn around again to face my boss.

"First smacking a door in my face and now intimidating one of your colleagues."

"I'm sorry..."

"You apologies a lot, don't you." He says with a smile, but I can see it doesn't reach his eyes. His deep blue eyes, my mind starts to wander. But I stop it just in time when it's starting to go to his long lashes. What the hell is wrong with me.

"I'm sorry... for saying sorry... a lot." I feel that I'm going to start blabbering, so with a one last, I'm sorry I hurriedly move to where I'm supposed to be sitting.

In the corner of my eye I see him looking at me like I'm a strange person just before he enters Debbie's office. I let out a sigh when he closes the door behind him.

It's not long before he and Debbie both come out of her office and he calls everyone's attention to him.

"I was told that normally the new interns gets a 'welcome to the company' speech from the boss. So seeing as I'm here today, I will be doing it."

And he moves to right in front of where I'm sitting and starts his second speech to us.
