I didn't want to go to school. I don't feel safe there anymore. When I get there I put my hood over my head and walk by fast, hoping that Madison doesn't notice me. She does.
"Hey! Where do u think you're going?" Madison said.
She grabbed me by my hood and flung me against the wall. I never realized how strong she was.
"Look she's crying!" Clarissa said laughing.
They start kicking me. The last thing I saw was Leila's face looking down at me.... with tears in her eyes.
I wake up in the nurse's office. My head and pounding and I can feel my lip bleeding.
"How are you feeling?" Nurse Kelly asked.
"My head hurts." I say groaning.
"Do you remember what happened?" she asked looking into my eyes.
I do remeber what happened. I didn't know whether she knew or not. If she already knew what happened then I should tell her the truth. If she doesn't I shoukd lie. I didn't want to tell her truth if she doesn't know because if she told the principal then Madison and Clarissa would both kill me
"Do you know?" I asked Nurse Kelly.
"No." She replied.
"I was walking and Ma-. And I tripped over something and hit my head."
"That doesn't make sense. You have bruises everywhere and your lip is bleeding. It looks like you were beat up."
"That's all that happened."
She turned around and shut the door.
"Now, tell me the truth." she looked at me with kind eyes.
I didn't want to tell her. I wanted to lie. I wanted to run out of the room.
" Come with me." she said.
I tried to get up. As soon as I but weight on my wrist a sharp pain went up my arm. She realized it hurt and helped me walk. We walked to a mirror. My hair had red in it (blood) and my lip was cut. She turned me around and I saw a giant bruise from when Madison flung me against the wall. I looked at my wrist it was also bruised very badly and my hand was partially purple.
"You're trying to tell me you got these injuries from tripping over a shoe?" she asked looking at me in the mirror.
I started crying. I coudn't speak. I could only get out 3 words.
"Madison.and.Clarissa."
