"Grace Ellis?" A cop asked walking towards me.
"Yes."
"I'm officer Clark and this is my partner officer McKay. We have a few questions for you."
"Okay."
"Did Carter's parents tell you what happened?"
I paused.
"Yes or no?"
"Yes."
"What did they say?"
I didn't know what to say. If I told them the truth then they would be put in prison. Cole loves his parents. But they're the reason he's in a coma.
"They said- They said that they left him in the back seat of the car while they went to the gas station."
"Why didn't they say that to police?"
"They love Cole. They understand what they did was wrong. Cole needs them. He has bipolar disease and he only takes his medicine when they say to. He won't take it unless they say so. They were scared they would be arrested." I said holding back tears.
"They broke the law by lying to police and leaving they're son in the car alone. If he dies they'll be charged for murder."
"I know."
"Let's go arrest them." Officer Clark said to Officer McKay.
They handcuffed them and walked the by me. His mother was furious.
"You bitch!" she screamed at me," You've ruined his life!"
Did I? I'm just trying to do the right thing.
