I really want Charlotte and Ray to have a father-daughter relationship in this book. Their relationship on the show is weak.

Charlotte's POV

"Remember you have a doctor's appointment!" My mom called out to me after I stepped out of the car.

"I know mom." I called back.

I haven't been to school in 3 days. 3 days. I have never missed that many days of school before. I just needed time to myself. I need to take care of my mental health, even if my physical health is not that good.

As soon as I stepped into the building all eyes were on me. It could have been because I disappeared for a few days. Or it could have been because I was wearing long sleeves in 90° weather. Either way, I didn't like it.

I kept my head down as I walked to my locker. I scanned my thumb and hurriedly stuffed my belongings in my locker. I shut it and turned around. Henry stood there looking angry. For once, Bianca wasn't with him.

"Where have you been?" He asked.

"I've been busy." I replied.

He looked like he wanted to say something, but decided against. I started walking te Ms. Shapen's class leaving Henry behind. For some reason, I was hoping that he would run after me, just so I would know that he still cares about me.

But he didn't.

I sat in the waiting room of the doctors office. I was alone this time. My mom had to work. I sat fidgeting, nervous for some reason. I had a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach.

"Charlotte Bolton." The nurse called in a monotonous voice.

I stood and walked briskly towards towards her. She led me into the office. I sat on the steel table and waited. Finally the doctor walked in the room with a bright smile on her face.

"Miss Bolton! How are you?" The doctor beamed.

"I'm fine." I replied quietly.

"That's great! Why don't we get started?"

"Mhm." She was way too happy right now.

I stood from the cold table and made my way across the room to where the machine stood. I didn't know exactly what it was called, all I knew was that it was big and scary. The doctor turned off the lights and stood behind it as I stood on the platform. She gave me a small smile before turning on the bright led light. I held my breath as the small almost unnoticeable laser scanned my entire frame. After what felt like an eternity, although it was only a few minutes, the bright light was turned off and the room lights were flipped back on.

"I'll go print out the test results, I'll be back in a jiffy!" The doctor's shrill voice said.

She walked out, closing the door behind her. I was now alone with my thoughts. The thing is, I'm wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. While I waited a sent a quick text to Ray.

I'm going to be at the Mancave in about 20 minutes. Please make sure Henry isn't there.

I pocketed my phone as the doctor stepped back in the room, still smiling.

"I'm back with your test results. Nothing has really changed. However, I can now be able to see what you will experience leading up to...you know."

Now that got my attention.

"The biggest thing you will experience is flu-like sickness. Severe headaches here and there as well."

I let out the breath I didn't even know I was holding.

"Thank you, doctor." I said.

"No problem. Remember, every three weeks!"

"I will."

"Charlotte! How was the doctor's appointment?" Ray asked from where he was sitting at the monitors.

"I didn't know you had a doctor's appointment. What for?" Jasper asked from the couch.

"Oh it's was just an annual one. You know, nothing major." I lied. Ray gave me look and I sighed. I told him I was going to tell Jasper soon. Believe me, I wanted to! I just knew he blab to Henry if I did tell him. I don't need Henry knowing just yet.

"Jasper and I were just about to go grab something to eat. Wanna tag along?" Ray asked. Just then my stomach rumbled loudly. Ray chuckled and grabbed his car keys.

"Let's go. Let's go, Jasper."

Jasper's face lit up.

"Did you hear that? He knows my name!" He exclaimed.

"Class! Quiet down! Today we are joined by a new student! This is Mark." Ms. Shapen said.

A series of heys were called out.

"Henry, why don't you move to the back so that Mark can sit next to Charlotte." Ms. Shapen continued.

"But I don't want to-"

"I said move!"

Henry jumped up and rushed to back of the class, taking a seat. Mark stalked to Henry's vacant seat and sat down. Everyone turned their attention back to Ms. Shapen as class continued.

"Hello." I heard from next to me. I turned in shock to see a pair of bright blue eyes staring at me.

"Uh, hi" I responded.

"You must be Charlotte."

"I'm the flesh."

The corners of his eyes crinkled as he smiled at me.

"I feel like we are going to be great friends." He said before turning back to front. I stared at him in disbelief. He was probably the most outgoing person I knew. I shook my head and was about to turn back to Ms. Shapen before the thick, black ink on his wrist caught my attention. A shiver went up my spine as I read the name. Bianca.

Mark is going to be an awesome person in the group and no, Charlotte is not going to fall in love with him. Also there are about 500 mistakes. :/ sorry about that
