Charlotte's POV

Mark stared at me, confusion swimming in his eyes.

"What do you mean we won't be able to feel any emotions?" He asked. I sighed and moved to take a seat on his bed.

"We won't be able to feel anything; happiness, sadness, anger. Nothing." I said. Mark moved to sit next to me.

"I can't imagine a world without emotions. It would be terrible. You aren't going to go through with it, right?"

I stayed quiet.

"Charlotte you can't be serious. You won't be able to fell anything."

"Would that really be a bad thing?"

"Yes. It would very bad." Mark exclaimed. I sighed and fell back onto his bed.

"Listen Charlotte," Mark began. "you're your own person. At the end of the day, I can't tell you what to do. I'm begging you, please make a smart choice."

"Thank you Mark. For everything." I murmured.

"This is the one I got at the bucket convention last summer!" Jasper said, excited. He was showing us his "mini bucket collection." Henry and Bianca sat across from me while Mark sat beside me, resting his head in my shoulder. He was still feeling a bit sick. I told him to stay home but he insisted that he come today, saying that he already missed too many days.

"Jasper, no one cares about your bucket collection." Henry said. Jasper gave Henry an offended look.

"No asked you, Hart." Mark said quietly. I chuckled, but covered it up with a cough when Henry looked at me.

"What's your problem, Mark?" Henry asked.

"I don't have one Hart. I just don't appreciate when someone puts down their friends for no reason. I'm going to my locker. You coming, Charlotte?"

Mark rose from my seat, looking at me expectantly. Henry was also looking at me, but his look was threatening. I sighed and rose from my seat, Henry's eyes trained on me. I threw away my tray. I grabbed my book bag from my seat and started to walk away, Mark in tow.

"I'll see you at work, Charlotte." I heard Henry say.

(I was going to end it here but nah.)

"Are you sure you want to go in today?" Mark asked me. He was dropping me off at work. I spotted Henry's bike out front and mentally groaned.

"I'll be fine Mark. I haven't been in since last Saturday." I replied.

"Okay. Call me if Hart does anything." He urged.

"Will do. Text you later." I finished and hopped out of his car. As soon as I stepped foot in Junk N' Stuff I ran to the back, waving at Jasper who was at the front.

In the elevator I fidgted, scared of my confrontation with Henry. When I arrived, I was relieved to see Ray sitting at on the couch with Henry nowhere to be found.

"Hey Ray." I greeted.

"Hey Charlotte. Looks like you finally decided to come into work." He said.

"Yeah. I haven't been in  since-" the sound of the tube interrupted my sentence.

"Hey. Is everything worked out?" Ray questioned the person behind me.

"Everything's good with Bianca now." I heard Henry's voice say. I mentally cursed.

"Awesome. Now let's talk. You, Charlotte, and I." Wow. Thanks Ray.

"The two of you have left Schwoz and I alone to manage the Mancave. As punishment, you two have to clean the entire Mancave. Plus do my laundry." Henry and I stared at him in disbelief.

"The entire Mancavs?! Why can't you do your own laundry?" Henry shouted.

"Because I have a date. Be done by tomorrow night!" Ray said before running to the back.

An uncomfortable silence fell between us. I heard Henry shift beside me. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore.

"I'm going to go start in the junk room." I turned to walk away. A sharp sting ran through the place Henry grabbed. I'm really sick of that. Henry drew hand back from my arm, holding his wrist.

"What was that?" He winced.

I was confused as to what he was talking about. Until I realized. Henry had felt it too.

Dun Dun
Henry is about to find out it's lit.
