●●●Charlotte's POV
"You know that Homecoming is coming up, right?" Jasper asked me. We were currently in the Mancave. It was late but we had to finish organizing the stuff in the junk room.
"Yeah I know it is. Why?" I replied.
"Are you going to go this year? You always skip it."
"No, I'm not going. I don't want to see Bianca and Henry locking lips in the corner." I said, chuckling.
"Why not? It's going to be fun! Maybe afterwords we could all go and catch a movie. You can even invite Mark! How does that sound?" Jasper exclaimed.
"Terrible." I answered honestly. I did not want Mark and them around each other. It was just a bad idea.
"I heard a lot of chit-chat going on. Are you guys done?" Ray questioned, stepping into the room.
"Almost." I said, yawning soon after. Ray stared at me for a few moments and sighed.
"Go home, Charlotte. Jasper and I can finish up around here." He told me.
"What? Why can't I go home?" Jasper whined.
"Because I need you here! Now keep organizing!" Ray yelled.
I chuckled and started to grab my stuff. I checked the time on my phone to see that it was almost 11 pm. My mom was working late, which means I was going to have to walk home. I groaned.
"What's wrong?" Ray asked.
"My mom is working late which means I have to walk home."
"Nonsense! I'll drop you off. Jasper stay here and continue."
"You don't have to do-"
"I said I'll take you home. Let's go."
I grabbed my stuff and followed Ray to the elevator. We walked around to the back where his car was parked.
Once on the road, a comfortable silence filled the car. But it didn't last that long.
"When are you going to tell them?" Ray asked. I sighed. Everytime qe were alone he would ask this question.
"I'll tell them." was all I said.
"When?"
"Soon. I promise."

"Charlotte!" I heard Mark call for me the next day. I turned to face him just as he crashed into me. He looked really excited.
"We don't have to die!" He shouted. Everyone in the hallway turned to look at us. I laughed nervously.
"Um, Mark? Maybe we should take this conversation somewhere more private?" I said. He looked confused. I gave glanced at the people staring and he seemed to get the idea. He draped his arm around my shoulder and steered me towards an empty classroom. When the door closed, he turned towards me with a big smile.
"We might not die!" Mark shouted again.
"What are you talking about?" I asked, confused.
"I was speaking with my doctor about our condition, when she told me about the release of a new procedure that can really help glitches! It'll prevent them from dying!" He rushed out.
"I have no idea what you are talking about."
Mark sighed. "Talk to your doctor! Maybe she will tell you!"
A procedure? How are they going to prevent death.
"Are there any disadvantages?" I asked Mark.
"Well there is one. But my doctor wouldn't tell me what it was."
"That can only mean bad things." I said, walking towards the door.
"But it could be a good thing! Like our farts could smell like rainbows."
I rolled my eyes and opened the door. I walked to my locker to see Jasper fuming. When he saw my approaching, he sat up straight.
"Hey! What's up?" I greeted him.
"How come you didn't tell me?" He yelled. I felt my heart drop into my stomach.
"Tell you what?" I asked.
"You didn't tell that you know who your soulmate is! I had to find out from Ray! I didn't know that their was another Henry in Swellview!" Jasper exclaimed. I sighed in relief. Good thing Jasper was a bit slow-witted. Wait. Ray told him!
"Sorry Jasper but I have to go find Mark." I told him before sprinting away. I searched through the hallways searching for Mark. I finally found him searching through his locker.
"Mark!" I called out for him. He turned around, surprised.
"Oh hey. What's wrong?" He said.
"You have a car, right?"
"Um, yeah. What does that have-"
"I need you to take me to Junk N' Stuff."
People wanted Mark to be a permanent character. I was originally going to have him and Charlotte become best friends and then have him die. I decided against it though, hehe. Also this was a filler chapter. It gets emotional next chapter.
