I think I'll
miss you forever
●●●Henry's POV
I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket as I cleaned out the junk room.
"How is this place so dirty if we clean it everyday?" I grumbled.
I wiped my hands on my pants before reaching into my pocket to pull out my phone. It was Mark, surprisingly.
"What do ya want, Johnson?" I said
"Is Charlotte there?" He asked.
"Why would you call me to ask? She left about twenty minutes ago." I answered.
"She's not at home and she won't answer her phone. Which is weird because she always answers my calls."
At that I paused what I was doing.
"What do you mean she's not at home? It takes her ten minutes to get from here to her house." I said slowly.
"I mean she's not here. I'm standing outside of her house now. Her mom said she hasn't seen her or talked to her since three this afternoon. I knew I should have picket her up to take her home. She never-"
I didn't hear the rest of what he said because I hung up the phone. She's not at her house? Where could she be?
I sprinted out of the junk room to see Ray sitting on the couch watching Dog Judge.
"I have to go." I said walking by him to the elevator.
"Where are you going?" Ray asked, rising from his seat.
"Mark said that Charlotte isn't at home. She left twenty minutes ago! She should be home by now." I answered.
"Alright calm down kid. We'll go find her." Ray said placing his hands on my shoulder.
"What if something bad happened to her. You know weird people come out at night!" I insisted.
"I'm sure she's fine. Let's go. She's probably just taking her time."
Ray and I walked to the tubes and stood underneath them. He pressed the button to make them close around us.
''Call it." He said.
"Charlotte could be half dead by now-"
Ray rolled his eyes.
"Up the tube!"

When we arrived at Charlotte's house, we first spotted Mark's bright green truck that looked like crap, but at least had some means of transportation. I stepped out of Ray's car and approached him. He looked up at the sound of my footsteps.
"Has she returned any of your calls?" I asked him as soon as I reached him.
"No, and I'm getting really worried." Mark sighed.
"Look maybe we can split up and look for her?" Ray suggested.
"What are we, Scooby Doo? I'll just track her Pear Phone with mine." I scoffed, pulling out my phone from my back pocket.
Ray looked set back from what I said but I paid him no mind. I was a man of a mission. I didn't take my phone long to find hers, and fortunately it wasn't far from where we were.
"I found her. Come on Ray. Let's go." I said already walking in her direction.
"Dont I get to come?" Mark called from behind me.
"No." I called back.
I briskly walked towards the location of the dot, Ray not far behind me. Neither of us said anything. In fact, the only sound that could be heard were both of our heavy footfalls. At this point it was getting pretty dark so I switched on my phone's flashlight. And that's when I saw it. I stopped in my tracks.
In the middle of the sidewalk was the silhouette of a small girl. Ray soon stepped up beside, his eyes also focused on the small figure of what appears to be a teen girl.
I slowly walked to eat and my fears were confirmed. I dropped phone and fell to my knees beside Charlotte. I placed my hand on her neck to check and pulse and sighed in relief, but it was short-lived when I felt how cold she was.
"Does she have a pulse?" Ray asked, getting on the other side of her.
"Yes but she's so cold. Who knows how long she has been out here." I responded.
"Look just calm down. Let's go back and I'll call 911. We need to get Charlotte back to her house pronto."
I nodded and stood to my full height. I place one arm under her upper back and the other under her knees. I hoisted her up with a grunt and turned to go back to her house. Hopefully by the time I arrived the ambulance would have already showed up. Both Ray and I walked with swiftness back to Charlotte's house. When we arrived, Mark and Charlotte's mom were waiting outside with two EMTs talking to them. Her mom spotted us and let out a wail. The two EMTs walked over to me to take Charlotte, but I was reluctant to let her go.
This was the only time I was scared to death for Charlotte. She was always so strong and independent. She could hold her own. But now looking at her bloodless face, maybe she wasn't as strong as I had originally thought. Maybe she was too afraid to say something.
Yeah that ending was trash but anyways MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU :))))) also it's almost my birthday (January 1st) so yeah I'm EXCITED for that as well.
