Charlie arrived the day after. There was a lot of tension between him and Edward but I calmed things down. The doctors ran a few more tests and eventually let Bella ease off the medicine after a week. After another couple of weeks, they eventually let her go and she came back to Forks, with us. It was a relief to come back to Forks, to be able to hold my wife again. I don't think I've held her as tight before. I don't think she had held me as tight before either.
Edward was happier the second that Bella was in Forks again and laughed about the curfews and visiting hours Charlie had instructed to occur. And talking of Charlie, he had made a new friend. Alice went over to the Swan household as she pleased and Charlie loved her. Mainly due to the help she gave Bella. They all went back to school and I went back to work. Alice was wary over the video tape and I promised her that soon we would find out what had happened and get the answers she needed. Life had... Gone back to normal. As normal as it gets for vampires anyway.
