Meeting Him

Courtney's POV

I can tell today is going to be a good day. I get up from my bed and put some clothes on. I go downstairs and say goodbye to my mom. Yes,I am 21 and I still live with her,but only because she doesn't want me to leave. I also don't have a job because my mom says I don't need one since her and Kari are already working so hard. So I decided to stay jobless because I don't want to spend my life doing something I don't want to do. Anyway I head out the door and walk to my favorite breakfast and coffee shop.

After 15 minutes of walking,I make it. I enter the small building and try and find a place to sit. I see a guy at a table for two sitting alone. He had brownish blondish hair,and he looks pretty fit. I decide to join him,and up until I saw him closer I noticed he has,blue and grayish eyes.

Courtney-Hi.

?-Umm,hey.

He said with a genuine smile.

I sit down and smile

Courtney-My name is Courtney Miller.

?-My name is Shayne,Shayne Topp

I sit there and ask him questions just to get to know him a bit better. He seems like a nice guys. The waiter gives us our menu and we decide on what to eat.

Courtney-So,what do you work as?

Shayne-I work with some friends to upload videos on a site called YouTube,but I also have acted on a few occasions.

Courtney-Cool,it sounds like fun.

Shayne-It is,so what do you work as?

Courtney- I don't work,but only because my mom said I'm not allowed to for a reason.

Shayne-Oh,well it's probably a good one.

Courtney-Maybe

The waiter comes back and we tell him what we want. Me and Shayne continue to talk and he's a very interesting person,with a great sense of humor. He also has an amazing smile and a very contagious laugh.

The food had came and it left and we stayed there still talking about each other. We may have met 2 hours ago but we talked like we'd known each other for a long time.

Shayne- Hey Court?

Courtney- Court?

Shayne-Oh just a nickname

I smile

Courtney-Okay,well continue.

Shayne-Do you think I can get you number and meet up again tomorrow for lunch.

Courtney-Yeah,that sounds nice.

We exchange numbers and keep talking for another 30 minutes until I decide it's probably best to leave.

Courtney-Shayne,it's been great talking to you but, I better be heading home.

Shayne-Yeah of coarse. Umm,do you need a ride?

Courtney-No it's fine.

Shayne-You sure?

Courtney-Yeah

I smile and he smiles back as I exit the small building.

As I start to head home I start to think of him.

Courtney-Shayne Topp,I like him.

I make it back home and open the door.

Kari-Hi Courtney

Courtney-Hello Kari

I say in a singing voice

Kari-Why are you so happy?

Courtney-Well,today at breakfast I met a guy named Shayne,and he was really funny and nice.

Kari-What?!

Courtney-Yeah,what do you mean what.

Kari-I don't care if he's nice,you can't meet new people.

Courtney-Why not?!

Kari-I'd tell you but you'd forget

Courtney-Shut up Kari! Just because your older than me,doesn't mean you can control my life and who I meet!

I head upstairs and close my door.

Why do they treat me this way?

Why was I not allowed to get a job.

Why can't I meet new people.

All these questions pop in my mind head,but all I could think about is my lunch with Shayne tomorrow.
