Courtney's POV

I'm done getting ready for the day.
I see some paper near my trash can
I go to pick it up to put it in the trash
But before I do,I read it

'Hey,you may not remember me but, I love you and you said love me. Give me this day to make re love me if you can't remember me. I'll be waiting outside.

I go to my window
He's not there
It's just the regular street.
I take the note and go downstairs

Courtney-Kari?!
Kari-What's up?
Courtney-Well,I found this note in my bedroom,and it says a guys named Shayne would wait outside,but he's not.

Kari's POV

Kari-Oh that was from a week ago.
I chuckle
I look at Courtney and she looked confused

Holy fuck! I messed things up!
I should've said it was probably from a long time ago.
Now she's gonna start asking questions!
Fuck!!

Courtney-I don't remember last week.
Kari-Really?
I say trying not to sound suspicious

Courtney's POV

Why can't I remember?!
What happened yesterday?!!!
Courtney-Kari! What the hell is going on?!
Mom-Oh hi girls
My mom says walking in
Courtney-Why can't I remember yesterday?!
Mom-What happened Kari?
Kari-She found something from a week ago and asked
Courtney-Answer my question!
Mom-Sit down
I sit down with my mom and Kari facing me
Courtney-What?
Mom-When you were 18,you got into a car accident. We found out you were at the hospital. So we go there and ask what happened. They told us and had said that the accident caused you to have memory loss. So you can't remember a day after that.
Courtney-What?! Wait. How old am I?!
Kari-21 Years old
Courtney-You got to be fucking kidding me
I say starting to form tears
Kari-Court...
Courtney-I want proof!
My mother handed me a news paper
It read
May 17,2016
Courtney-You have to be kidding me?!
Mom- I'm sorry sweetie. It was to protect you
Courtney-From what?! Knowing what today's date was?!
Mom-No
Courtney-Well then why did you?!
Mom-I wanted you to live a normal life as possible,but all of it changed after the accident!
I roll my eyes now noticing I'm crying
I head upstairs to my room and lock the door. I go to my diary to see if I had written in it.
I look through and most of my recent pages were about multiple dates with a guy named Shayne Topp.
Kari-Open up Courtney
Courtney-Fuck you Kari
I didn't mean it but I was just so upset and angry with them.
I feel like I should trust this Shayne guy.
I get my bag,fix my makeup,put my diary in my bag,and open the door
Kari-Finally
They were both right there
I push them out of the way and head for the door.
Mom-Where do you think you're going?!
Courtney-I'm not sure,but I honestly can't look at you two without wanting to cry,thinking about how for 3 years I've been lied to.
Kari-Courtney wait..
Courtney-Get away from me.
I exit and start to walk not knowing where to find Shayne Topp
I went around asking if anyone knew a guy named Shayne Topp
I bumped into an Asian girl.
Courtney-Sorry
?-It's ok
She says reassuring me that it was an accident
She was about to continue walking until I asked her
Courtney-Do you know a guy named Shayne Topp?
She turned to me.
?-Yeah,are you another fan?
Courtney-Um no,whatever that means? But please tell me where I can find him.
?-Sorry but,we have a limit
Courtney-Please
?-What's your name?
Courtney-Courtney,Courtney Miller. What's yours
Her eyes widen.
?-My name's Olivia and I'll tell you where the office is.
Courtney-Is he there?
Olivia-Yeah
She gives me directions and starts to walk the opposite way
She said they were on lunch break so she was gonna be back in about 30 minutes
I see the office and open the door

Courtney-Umm excuse me
I say to the security/staff
Staff-Yes,how may I help you?
Courtney-I'm looking for a guy in this building named Shayne Topp
Staff-Well You can't go up there without an approval from the person but I'll send him down here
I nod
He gets on the phone
Staff-Hello, a girl is asking for Shayne Topp. She says she needs to see him....... alright.... okay....... thank you,bye
Staff-He'll be here shortly
I nod
Courtney-Thank you
After a few minutes I see a man coming this way
He looks my way and walks towards me
?-What are you doing here?
Courtney-Are you Shayne,Shayne Topp
Shayne-Yeah,how did I you know where to find me?
Courtney-I found out today that I have memory loss
I start to cry again
He pulls me into a hug
Shayne-I'm sorry,do you wanna come upstairs to my office
I pull my head back and nod
He holds me and walks me to the elevator
We make it and I see a bunch of people staring
I try and stop crying which leaves me still sniffing
Shayne-It's ok
He takes me to what they call the squad office
It has bean bags,tables,computers
It was like a very childish room
He sits me down on a chair
?-Who is she?
?-You know you can't have her up here
Shayne-Guys,this is Courtney,Courtney this is Noah and Keith
I nod and smile
They smile back and leave the room
Shayne-What happened?
Courtney-I found the note you left and didn't see you outside. So I went to ask about it. And they told me. I read in my diary and a majority of my recent pages have been of you.
He just pull me into a hug once more
