A Day For Us

Courtney's POV

I had just finished getting dressed when I noticed a light blue paper sitting on my desk
I grab it and open it
It's read

'Hey,you may not remember me but, I love you and you said love me. Give me this day to make re love me if you can't remember me. I'll be waiting outside.

What the hell is this?
And how did this Shayne guy get into my house?

~2 hours earlier~
Shayne's POV
I knock on Courtney's door.
Who I believe is Ms.Miller opens the door
Miller-Yes,what Can I help you with?
Shayne-I'm looking for Kari
She rolls her eyes
Miller-Kari! A guy is here to see you.
She turns to me
Miller-You're not here to tell her you love her,right?
Shayne-No
I shake my head
Ms Miller leaves seeing Kari has came
Kari sees me and motions me with her eyes to step outside
Kari-What the hell are you doing here?!
Shayne-Listen. I have a plan.
Kari-No! Get away from her and stay away.
Shayne-Please. I love her. I just need one day.
Kari-One day for what?
Shayne-All I need is one day to make her love me.
Kari-Listen, this isn't some fairytale where you have love at first site.
Shayne-Its not like that.
Kari-Why do you love her then?
Shayne-I love her because she's an amazing person inside out. I love her because she's talented and passionate about things she loves. I love her because we think similar. I love her because I've had girlfriends in which I've said I loved,but Courtney has a hold on my heart that I couldn't break if I wanted to. I am absolutely in love her,and nothing can change that. Please Kari. Give me a day with her.
I beg hoping she won't shut the door
I look up to her eyes and see frustration and pity in them
Kari-Fine, what do you want
Shayne-I wrote her something so could you put it somewhere where she'll notice it?
She takes the note and closes the door
I hope she actually puts it near Courtney
I decide to wait outside near my car waiting for her to come
I hope she comes

Courtney's POV
I look out the window to see a very attractive guy standing outside looking a bit worried
I decide to go with him since I have nothing better to do.
I open the door
My eyes immediately reach Shayne's
I don't remember him,but I already feel an attraction to him
My heart starts pounding
I try and breathe to calm myself
I notice that I'm still standing at the doorways
I close the door and head towards him
He smiles
Shayne-I'm Shayne
Courtney-I'm Courtney,though you probably already know that
He chuckles
Shayne-Are you ready to go?
Courtney-I guess
We both walk to my favorite breakfast place
Courtney-Did you know I liked this place?
Shayne-Yeah. We had breakfast here together. And this is where we met.
I blush a bit
Courtney-Really
Shayne-Yeah

Shayne's POV
We enter and order our food
We sit down and enjoy a breakfast
I could feel the conversation being a bit forced because of the note
But it won't be like that for long

We finish eating and head outside trying to find something to do.
I had planned for us to visit a lake
This wasn't the lake from before
This was a lake where swans,ducks,and turtles lived
Sometimes they even come out of the water
We head there and Courtney is immediately in awe
She goes near the edge of the lake and sits down
Shayne-Do you like it?
Courtney-I love it!
She starts to put her finger in going in circles
She was just like a little kid
I sit down with her
She stood up sometimes to get a closet view of the duck if they got out of the water
I watched her do that most of the time
We were barely talking but it was fine
She looked cute doing that
After an hour and a half we finally decided to go
We walked and talked most of the way to downtown
I made her laugh a lot
Courtney-I like you Shayne. You're fun to hang out with.
She has said she's loved me
But hearing her say that made my heart beat
Shayne-Your fun to hang with too.
She stared at me smiling
I smiled back
She takes a hold of my hand and starts skipping in a way
She's just like a child
It felt nice to hold her hand once more

Courtney's POV

I take a hold of his hand
I get a strange feeling
I feel like I've held his hand before
I remember holding a lot of peoples hands but Shayne
There's a nice feeling when I intertwine my fingers with his
It feels like Deja Vu
But it wasn't
When I held his hand
I had a flash of my hand with his and him smiling at me
I snap out of it
Shayne-Are you okay?
I nod and smile
After going to downtown went to eat lunch
That was really nice
He took me to a nice chicken and rice grill
After we finished we went to the beach
We left for the beach at
3:30
We arrived at the beach at 7:00
It was a long drive considering traffic
But we made it
We just walked down the beach
I was starting to like Shayne
There wasn't a lot of people which was understandable
It was really cold
I brought my jacket but it was still cold
Now this was one of those cliche moments
Shayne handed me his jacket and I gratefully took it
Courtney-Aren't you cold?
Shayne-No,I'm fine
I could tell he was lying
it was cute that he would do something like that
We eventually stopped walking and just sat down
It was on a black rock
I'm not sure when I did it but I leaned on his shoulder
Shayne-Today was a day for us
I smiled
A day for us
I liked the way he said it
I looked at him
He looked at me
When our eyes met, I felt like I've looked at them before
I get another flash, we were in a lake
He held my waist and my arms around his neck. He leaned in
The flash stopped
Shayne leans in
His lips press against mine while he held my cheek
It felt so right and I loved every single second of it
We pulled apart and I said something I thought I wouldn't have said today
Courtney-I love you Shayne
Shayne-I know
He leans in once more making our lips touch

Today was a day for us
