Shayne's POV
I had taken a nap as soon as I found Kari and Ms. Miller. I was too fucking exhausted. I would've stayed up for Courtney,but as soon as I sat down and blinked, my eyes stayed closed and I fell asleep.
After a couple of hours I was awakened by a familiar voice
?- Shayne
I rub my eyes, trying to adjust them to the light
Shayne- Shit, what time is it Kari.
I stop rubbing my eyes to see a familiar girl.
My eyes focus and I see
Courtney
I stand up
I don't runt to her
I just walk
Once I reach her I hug her
I hadn't noticed tears falling out from my eyes
Courtney- Hi Shayne
Shayne-Fuck Courtney! You scared the shit out of me. I love you so much.
Courtney- I love you too
Shayne- You don't know what I did to get here tonight. In the end it was all worth it.
He hugs me again
Courtney- Don't cry Shayne
Shayne- I haven't seen you in so long. I miss feeling your hair on my shoulder when we hug. I miss you leaving your scent when you walk next to me
Courtney- I miss you too, so much.
Doctor- Glad you guys had a reunion, but we still need to do some tests.
She nods
She was holding my hand, and squeezing it tightly
Doctor- Alright, this way.
She starting walking forward holding my hand, and before she could let go, she said something.
Courtney- Can he come?
Shayne- Courtney, if anything, it should be your family.
I looked at Courtney's mom and sister
Courtney's Mom- Go.
I gulped and nodded
They led us back into the room
I sat down on a chair they had there while he was examining Courtney.
I just say there and watched.
Doctor- Have you had any other medical conditions with your head cause that accident could actually re trigger the condition?
My heart dropped when I heard that
No.. please don't take her away from me!
Damnit!
My eyes start to water
Courtney- Yeah, I had something like short term memory loss.
Doctor- Well I hate to say it, but the next time you wake up from a sleep,it's gonna re trigger it. I'm sorry. I wish I could do more
She just started to cry.
I ran to her and held her in my embrace as she cried
Doctor- I'll give you two some privacy.
All I could do was cry with her. I didn't want her to lose the memories we created.
Courtney- I'm so sorry Shayne.
Shayne- It's not your fault. Don't think it is. Please
I hate how life can give you a joy for so long and take it away with no remorse
Courtney- Please don't leave me
Shayne- I won't.
