Erin POV

We pulled up to the coffee house and I was ready to take on the world. "Excuse me." I said holding up my badge to the person at the register. "I need your sercuity videos." she turned around and nodded at another person making drinks. They went off to grab the tapes.

"Anything else I can help you with?" she asked us willingly. "Do you know these people?" I asked holding up my phone with a picture of Auggie and Clara on it. "I do," she smiled. "They were regulars. They had only been coming here for a little but it was consistent. Sweet people. Are they okay?" she asked concerned now. "The girl is, they were attacked, I'm afraid the mom didn't make it. We understand they liked to come here." I informed her.

"They did. Like I said they were regulars, but they followed a strict schedule. Always here at the same time on the same days. I was expecting them to come in today." she told us. "Did you notice anything off or strange about them lately?" I asked. "Last week the older woman came in without the younger. She said that she was meeting with someone and that her daughter was with her oldest daughter." she said helpfully. "Did you ever see the person she was meeting?" I asked as I wrote down some of the information she told me. "I did not. I saw someone come in and go her table but they left shortly after she got here." she told me. "It was a woman?" I asked surprised. We expected our agressors to be men. They must be working together. "Yes. A woman." she nodded. Then he coworker came behind the counter and handed us a tape. "Thank you. If you think of anything else, here is my card." I handed her my card and then Jay and I were off.

I stopped by the hospital again. I told Jay to go look at the tape, I wanted to visit Auggie. This time when I came to the hospital she was sitting on the couch instead of her bed. She was giggling as Sarah sat next to her deep in conversation. "Hi Erin," Auggie greeted me. The couch faced the hospital bed so I sat on the bed criss cross apple sauce. "Do you have snap chat?" she asked me as she held up her iPhone. I looked at Sarah surprised that Natalie allowed her to have it. "Natalie said only one hour for now. Mom never let me have social media but Sarah said I could make  a snapchat. So far I've got Natalie, Will, Connor, Sarah, and April." I held out my hand for the phone. As I was putting my snapchat in I remembered Marie. "Oh hey Auggie I have something for you." she grinned as I handed her back the phone. "Do you remember Marie?" I asked pulling up my phones to contacts. "I do, she was a friend I made." she turned to Sarah to tell her. "You didn't tell me you made a friend." Sarah said surprised. "I did. The other day when mom was on the phone." Auggie shook her head. "I got her number for you. She asked if she could come visit you." Auggie looked so happy. "Can she?!" she asked Sarah with excitement. "Umm yeah I guess" Sarah fake smiled to her. I handed her the number and she texted it. There was a knock on the door. "Daniel!" Auggie smiled. "Hey Auggie. Ready to talk?" he asked pointing at a book. She nodded. "Would you prefer Sarah stay or?" He asked her looking at Sarah. "You can go for a little while." she nodded. "Why don't Sarah and Erin go get some food and maybe come back in about 30 minutes?" he suggested. Sarah nodded her head. She stood up and kissed Auggie on the forehead. "Don't have too much fun." she winked at Auggie.

We excited the room and headed for the caf like Daniel suggested. "That's progress." I patted Sarah on the back. "You can't leave her alone. She is good with the people here but I dont even know what will happen reaction I'll get when she gets home." she ran her fingers through her hair. "So, did you guys find anything?" she asked as she sat at an empty table. "We've got some tapes." I told her not giving away too much. "Sarah," I said as she gazed off. "Hmm" she asked readjusting her focus. "Talk to me. Please. You just became the legal guardian of a 16 year old." I said trying to break this shell that she had put up.

"Do I make rules? Can I do that?" she asked shaking her head. "I have to cook for her. I need to get her registered for school eventually. I told her she could get a service dog, so not only do I have to take care of her but also a dog." suddenly her phone buzzed. She quickly stood up. "Something is wrong with Auggie."

She jolted up the steps. "I shouldn't have left" she muttered as we ran to the room.

When we got to the room Natalie was standing over Auggie. "Where are you Auggie?" she asked as she shinned a flash light in her eyes. "Umm.. Sarah.." she quietly said while she had a breathing mask on. "I'm here. I'm here" she said running up and grabbing Auggie's hand. "What happened?" she asked Natalie. "She collapsed. She's confused.  I want a head CT." she ordered as they began to roll Auggie out of the room. "No NO Sarah I need Sarah!" Auggie reached out for Sarah as the rolled her away, Sarah stood standing in the room. Suddenly she was putting her hands over her eyes.

I ran to her side and suddenly we were both sitting on the ground while she cried.
