Chapter 16

Auggie POV

I woke up to my head pounding. I was laying in a hospital bed with absolutely no recollection of what happened. Nobody was in the room. I groggily laid there for a few minutes. Suddenly my sister and Natalie walked in. I remembered that I was mad at my sister. I decided to just make eye contact with Natalie.

"You fainted." she told me, "hit your head on my trusty dusty tray." I still hadn't look at Sarah. "Why did I faint?" I asked Natalie. "We ran some tests and I think we can conclude that it was just from getting your stitches out. It made you queasy, so to say" I nodded. "But I can go home right?" I asked. "We're working on your discharge papers. I leave you two alone now." and before we knew it she was gone.

"How do you feel?" Sarah asked standing in the same spot that she was before. "Fine." I still refused to look at her. "When will Sylvie be home. I was to watch netflix with her." I asked. "Auggie," Sarah sighed, "You left." I was no longer afraid to look her in the eye. "You don't just get to leave, Sarah." I was upset and angry at my sister the whole time. "I'm not going to leave you. I am sorry, I know that you're mad at me but we can't do this anymore." she said motioning to me and her. "Do what?" I asked.

"I understand you are mad at the world. I am mad at the world for what happened to you and mom. But, you can't keep shutting me out. If you can't sleep, come get me. If you are scared, come get me. Don't shut me out, Auggie." I nodded at my sister. She then laughed. "Why are you laughing. "I feel so weird discipling you. It's like I am disciplining myself."

Then Nat walked in. "You're going to have a bruise but you are free to go."

Sarah POV

(If you have been watching recent Chicago Fire shows you would know the new character Brea. I've decided to have Gabi and Matt be Brea's foster parents in this.)

I got home with Auggie and she decided to lay on the couch with the dog. I was studying some books at the table when my phone started to ring.

"Hello?" I asked. "Hey, Sarah." Gabi's voice said on the other end. "Oh hey Gabi, hold on a second." I held the phone away from my face. "Can you pause that please." I ordered Auggie. The sound from the tv stopped and I saw Auggies head peek over the couch watching me on the phone. "What's up?" I asked Gabi. "Are you and Auggie busy?" she asked kind of quietly. "Nope." I said popping the p. "Umm well Matt and I are fostering a 16 year old and I was wondering if we could see if they would possibly be friends." I looked over to my sister who was still peaking over the couch. "Where do you want to meet at?"

Gabby POV

"I don't have friends though I don't know how to talk to people." Brea argued. "Neither does Auggie. You will be fine."

We then saw Auggie, Sarah, and Auggies dog walking towards us. "Brea this is Auggie, and Sarah. Auggie this is Brea." I introduced them. "This is Blue." Auggie said adding on to my comment. We then walked into a coffee shop that I heard Auggie liked a lot. The girls ordered drinks and sat at one table while we sat at the other. Sarah's back was to the girls

"How are they doing" she asked. I chuckled slightly. "Talking." I answered trying not to make it obvious I was watching them. "Auggie fainted today. I don't know what I am going to do when she goes back to school I will be a wreck." Sarah and Auggie's relationship needed a lot of working but I had no doubts that they would be okay.

"No fire house today?" Sarah asked. "Nope." I answered when the girls walked over to us. "Can Brea come over?" Auggie asked Sarah and I. "I am sure that Brea appericated you asking and I sure do but I think that it would be best if Brea and I stayed home tonight. You both have had a busy day, and Brea still has some settling to do."

"Thats okay. Brea and I can just text." Auggie shrugged it off. They went back to their seat.

These two being friends just may work out
