Erin POVWe pulled up to the home and I practically ran out. Jay knocked forcefully on the door. "Hello," a woman groggily answered. "Were looking for Anderson Maze." I said. The woman's face frowned. "I'm afraid I cant help you. He doesn't live here anymore." I looked at Jay. "Do you know where he might be?" I asked taking out a notepad. "I don't know the address but I do know that he is with a woman named Abigail," she sighed. "He said she was his true soulmate." she continued.
Jay and I looked at each other as soon as we heard the name Abigail. We knew who we were looking for. After we talked to Mr. Hartwright we tried to find more information on Abigail but we failed. He didn't even have her home address. He just dropped her off where she said.
We thanked the woman and began to leave. "Wait," she said, "Abraham McMathy." she blutered. I looked at her unsure of what she meant. "He was his new friend. He said he was a friend of Abigails. I saw the name on his phone once." Jay thanked the woman as I called Kevin and told him to get the address for this man. I also told him to send back up to the house. We were going to find Auggie.
Auggie POV
I apparently fell asleep eventually but when I woke up the woman was sitting at the edge of the bed. Like Sarah would. I looked at her with fear. "He loses his temper, I'm sorry." she said motioning to my head. "I was like you." she said looking into my eyes. "My kidney was failing me. I couldn't be in school. I missed so much. Until someone contacted my parents about a kidney. But it wasn't the hospital. I got mine from the black market." she said pulling up her shirt so I could see her scar. "We were going to give you a kidney. Your mom said no. She said that you were going to get one the right way. That really set Anderson off." she said looking down. "Why did you let him kill my mother?" I asked sharply. "I couldn't control him." she looked at me. "You don't remember anything do you?" she asked me. I shook my head no. "You were crying. You heard the shouts. He couldn't risk you hearing anything so he.." she pointed to my face.
I began to cry. I didn't do anything to stop my mothers death. "I'll leave you alone." she said quickly getting up and leaving the room. I heard the door lock behind her.
Suddenly I heard a loud slam. "Police!" I heard someone shout. They were here. I was safe. Suddenly the door opened. It was the man who hit me, and he had gun. He sat on the bed with it pointed to my head. I sobbed. Kevin was the first one in the room, then Erin, then Jay. They all had their guns pointed at him. "Put the gun down!" ordered Kevin. Tears streamed down my face. I saw Erin staring at my face. The blood. Then her gaze met mine. "Keep your eyes on me Auggie." she suggested. "Put it down!" Jay said even louder. He pushed the gun harder to the side of my head. The bruised portion. Which made me cry harder.
"Why?" he asked. He sounded crazy. "Why should I? I'm going to prison." before any of us knew it he turned the gun on himself and pulled the trigger. He fell off the bed but I had some of his blood on me. I screamed at the sound of the gun going off. Erin ran over and pulled me into her embrace. I sobbed. "Shh I've got you. I've got you." She put my head into her hand examining it. The blood from earlier on my face was dry.
Kevin came over to our side. He touched my shoulder which brought me much fear. I screamed and flinched at this gesture. "I'm sorry, Auggie" he apologized. "S..sarah," I cried in between tears. "She's on her way." Erin assured me. "Can Kevin move you downstairs so Sylvie and Gabi can look at you?" she asked carefully. I nodded my head and he scooped me up and carried me carefully down the steps.
He gently placed me on the couch. "Lay down for me sweety." Gabi said as she lifted up my gown to look at my incisions. Slyvie held my hand while she did so. Next she looked at my head. "Pupils are dilated. She needs new stitches." I laid quietly crying. I then heard my sisters voice. "Let me see her." she ordered to an officer. She covered her mouth with her hands when she saw my face. She kneed down to the spot where Sylvie once was.
"I will never let someone hurt you again." she said brushing my hair our of my face as a tear rolled down her face. "I don't want to be here anymore." I cried with a plead to leave in my voice. She looked at Sylvie and Gabby. "We should probably take her back to the hospital now." Gabby suggested. She looked over to Kevin who then came to pick me up. I flinched at his touch again. "He shot himself." I whispered but I know those around me heard. "He shot himself." I said a little louder. I then began to hyperventalte. As I was placed in the abulance Sylvie put a breathing mask on my face.
The ride back to the hospital consisted of me falling in and out of sleep. I tried to stay awake but struggled. When we got to the hospital I saw the lights move above me. I then leaned over to vomit. They didn't stop moving. I heard Natalie telling me I was okay. I wasn't sure I believed her. I just wanted to go to sleep. And soon I did.
