Alam kong hindi nanaman ako makaka-update mamayang gabi kaya eto na. Salamat sa mga nag-aantay.

We walked hand in hand to and into the venue.

Agad naman kaming sinalubong ng mga camera. Hindi gaanong kadami ang mga 'yon pero sapat na para maharangan ang dadaanan namin. I felt K stiffened, mukhang na-overwhelm siya sa mga dumumog samin.

I pulled her closer to me, I stretched out my arm infront of us to prevent them from getting any close. "Backoff! Now!"

Pero hindi pa din nakinig ang mga ito. "If she gets hurt, I will ruin your jobs. So backoff!" I felt K got tense but relaxed as she hugged my waist tighter. A few guards also came in and helped us through. "Get them out. I don't want the press in here." I said dismissively.

I sat her down in the chair designated for us and gave her water to calm her down. "Thank you." she said.

I kissed her softly on the lips before I sat down next to her.

I admit I hate these kinds of parties. A bunch of sweet talkers along with trash talkers, oh and let's not forget a few gold diggers who are in the arms of business men.

I had my fair share in women but ever since I saw Karylle, I haven't been with anybody else.

In these parties, I would usually go around talking to other men in hopes to expand business deals with them, but not tonight. A few men came and talked to me about deals but I wasn't very interested so instead I just gave them my calling card so we can talk some other time.

Patapos na din ang party and we did nothing but talk and eat. Napansin ko din na inaantok na si K, I guided her head to my shoulder, para naman kahit papano maging komportable siya. My arm is on the back of her chair. "You're tired, why don't we go ahead?"

"Nakakahiya naman sa kanila. Tayo pa ata ang unang aalis." she was pouting and her eyes are drooping down.

I kissed her head at natawa na lang ako ng makita ko ang pagpipigil niya sa pagpikit. Hinampas naman niya ako sa tyan pero hindi naman ganon kalakas. Her arm didn't move away kaya ako na mismo ang nagpalibot ng kamay niya sa bewang ko.

"Wag mo nga 'kong tawanan. Kasalanan mo kaya kung bakit ako napagod."

"Hey love, I haven't done anything yet." I said smirking at her.

"Heh! Ewan ko sayo. Pinagod mo 'ko kakatry ng gowns." Magsasalita pa sana siya pero naunahan siya ng hikab niya.

"Let's go. I want you resting now." I guided her to stand up. Linapitan ko muna ang host ng event na 'to para makapaalam na.

"Mr. Joseph Reeyo." We shook hands and a few introduction.

"Well who is this fine lady you have beside you?" Hindi ko nagustuhan ang paraan ng pagtingin niya kay K.

"She's my girlfriend Mr. Reeyo. So if I were you, I would stop looking at her like that."

"Well well well. I have never seen you so possessive for a girl before. I've seen seen you with girls before, in different parties, but I've never seen you act like this."

"Doesn't concern you, and if you keep on looking at her like that I will gouge your eyes out."

"Are you threatening me?" pagalit na sabi niya. He doesn't scare me, he is just a small time business man compared to me.

"Why? Are you threatened?" I stepped closer to him and stared him down. I saw him gulp and stepped back. "Thought so."

Paalis na sana kami ni K ng biglang maramdaman kong napahawak si K sa braso ko. When I looked at her I saw her pale white.

"Hey what's wrong?" I held her hand and she was cold.

"There he is." she was looking straight past me kaya naman tinignan ko kung saan siya nakatingin. There I saw a man, well built mukhang magkasing tangkad lang kami pero mas malaki ng konti ang katawan niya.

Is he the guy who she's scared of? I wanted to talk to him but K is holding onto me which is stopping me from punching the guy square on the face.

"Please let's just go." I saw her almost tear eyed. As much as I want to hurt the guy, I hate seeing K this way. I pulled her closer to me and made our way out.

Pero paglabas namin ng venue ay agad nanaman kaming dinumog ng press. Hindi maganda ang takbo ng isip ko ngayon dahil gusto kong balikan ang lalaking 'yon. Masyadong occupied ng kung sino man ang lalaki'ng yon, na hindi ko na naramdaman na wala na si K sa tabi ko.

I was blinded by the camera flashes and and the loud voices of the people, at dahil do'n hindi ko naramdaman na may humila kay K papalayo sa'kin.

And at that moment, realizing that she was not beside me, was the first time in years I felt scared.

Scared that I might lose her. Scared that I would lose the love of my life.
