Chapter Eighteen

I woke up in the middle of the night, I could sleep, I looked around and realized I was in the bedroom, Trevor must have brought me up. I got up and walked into the bathroom, I turned on the light, my eyes were squinting as I looked into the mirror.
I turned on the sink and splashed water in my face, ice was touching my face in this moment I woke up, I placed my hands on the bathroom counter and looked at myself.
Why aren't you sleeping? What's going on your mind?
I rubbed my eyes and walked down the hallway and down stairs, I saw Nick sitting up reading on of the book from the house, he looked up at me.
" why are you awake? " he asked.
" I could ask you the same thing " I said walking over and sitting down in the chair.
" well I couldn't sleep " he said.
" same " I said.
I sat back in the chair, " why are you really here? " I asked.
" what do you mean? " he looked at me confused.
" there's a few gaping holes in your story " I said.
" trucks only head in this direction if there bringing food to The Hole or if there taking someone to The Hole and that only happens once a year and it already happened, so I ask again why are you really here? " I asked.
" i'm here for my brother, why does it matter if my story makes sense? " he asked.
" because it would explain a lot more sense if your story sounded true, I don't think your here for Trevor " I said.
" yeah and how are you going to prove that? " he asked leaning in.
" I just did, i'm going to find out why your really here " I said.
" you know I was happy for my brother and you, and now I don't know what he sees in you ".
" good night " I got up and walked back up stairs, my heart was beating fast, I didn't trust Nick, I think he could be working with The Watchers. I walked back into the bedroom and layed back down.

I walked down the stairs and saw Nick talking with Blake, he glared at me, I rolled my eyes and kept walking.
" everything ok, you see agitated? " Samuel asked.
" I had a bad sleep " I answered
" well have some tea " he smield passing me a freshly made cup of tea.
" thanks " I smiled.
Trevor walked into the kitchen, " hey " he smiled and wrapped his arm around me.
" how the book coming along have you finished it yet? " he asked.
" no I haven't finished it yet " I said.
" what book? " Samuel asked.
" I gave her a book called Arrow " he said.
" oh, why does she have to get to the end is there something there? " Samuel asked.
" yes actually there is " he said.
" I can't wait to finish the book " I smiled.
" don't skip to the end " he said before walking into the dining room.
Winny, Leila and Quinn were all sitting at the table, I sat down and joined them.
" and that's why he's a better person " Leila said.
" what did I just join? " I asked.
" were talking about a book " Winny said.
" what book? " I asked.
" Before I Fall " Quinn smiled.
" never heard of it, sounds good thought " I smiled.
" should we have another snow ball fight? " Leila asked.
" no, my back hurts from that " Winny sighed.
" ok then what are we going to do today? " Leila asked.
" something's bound to come " Quinn smiled.
I leaned back in the chair and closed my eyes, I wanted to escape from reality.

I imagined I was back home, with my brother, we were sitting on the couch watching t.v not a care in the world. I never got taken away, we lived thru the test, we had lived threw another test, but this wasn't true. I walked taken away, away from my family the people I knew would be there forever, but no they were taken away from me and I was taken away from them. All because of this stupid blood I was born with, why me? Why not someone else? That question would never be answered and I knew that, but I also knew I couldn't do anything about it. I can't just put my blood into someone else and make them feel what i'm going threw. I am filled with the blood that can stop you from loving, I can be the down fall to the whole world.

Hours had past it was almost 6, we had played board games that we found in the basement. Blake and Quinn seemed to win everytime, I won one time, but that was it.
" ok i'm out, you guys keep winning " Trevor said getting up and walking into the kitchen.
" Trevor come on " Quinn groned.
" nope i'm out too " Nick said getting up following Trevor.
" is anyone else going to leave before we continue playing? " Blake asked.
" I think all of us are kinda done " Samuel said.
" fine, should we clean up then "Blake said.
" i'll be right back i'm going to get water " I smiled.
I walked into the kitchen to see Trevor and Nick talking, they both looked mad.
" is everything ok? " I asked walking around them to grab water.
" yeah, just go back in the living room with everyone for a second " Trevor said.
I walked back around them, " now I know something's going on " I said.
They didn't say anything, " guys what's going on? " I asked again.
" nothing " Trevor said.
" oh just your little boyfriends here- " he was cut off.
" Nick! " he said in a harsh tone.
" your boyfriend is working with the people watching you same as me, but it looks like he fell in love with you then went rogue " Nick said.
I looked over at Trevor, I wasn't processing what I had just heard I didn't know what was real anymore, " is this ture? " I asked.
" let me explain- ", " no, one minute your so sweet, but really- " I stopped talking as I felt my heart dropped.
Everyone else walked into the kitchen, trying to get to the basement.
" what's going on? " Winny asked.
" Trevor and Nick have been working with the watchers " I said looking back at all of them trying so hard not to cry.
" Vivian let me explain " Trevor said.
" both of you need to get out " I was trying to hard not to freak out.
" Vivian please- ".
" get out! " I yelled, I couldn't even make eye contact with him I was in so much shock, I felt betrayed, I was betrayed.
" will be back " Nick said before following Trevor out of the house.
I turned around and ran up the stairs, " Vivian! " I heard Quinn call.
I walked into the bedroom, I put my back up to the wall beside the door, tears started to stream down my face. I slowly sunk to the ground in tears, wrapping my arms around my legs.
" Vivian " I looked up to see Blake standing in the doorway, he leaned down and gave me a hug, I rested my head on his chest as more tears fell to the ground.
Was this all real? Was this really happening? I wasn't crying because I could have loved him, I was crying because I lost a friend, I was betrayed by a friend.
I know why people don't want to feel love, they don't want to get hurt, but either way you can still get hurt, even if you don't know what your feeling.
Blake got me up to the bed, he whipped away my tears, " i'm going to get you some water " he said walking away.
Seconds later him and Quinn come back to the room.
" I can't imagine what your going threw " Quinn said rubbing my leg.
" I couldn't feel love towards him, but I still thought of him as a friend, I feel like my heart just got ripped out " I said starting to cry again.
" I don't know how he could have done this " Blake said.
" he never told you " I said.
" never, we never knew " Blake said.
" you should drink some water " Quinn said passing me the cup, I sat up I tried to grab the glass, but my hand was shaking so much I couldn't. Quinn grabbed it from me.
" just drink some later " she smiled.
I laid back down, I didn't want to move, I wanted to lay there forever.
