Chapter Nine

The day before the dance and I was so nervous for god knows why?
I sat beside Winny at breakfast, I leaned over to Whispered in her ear.
" after class meet me in the hall with rooms for 400 to 600 " I leaned back, she nodded confusingly.
" who's excited for the dance tomorrow! " Leila sqwilied.
" most likely everyone here " Blake rolled his eyes.
" ok smart ass " Leila said.
" calm down " Samuel said.
" i'm calm, i'm so calm " Leila smiled.
I watched the way Samuel and Leila talked, why weren't they a couple, they talked so much.
" i'm just excited to see my dress " I said.
" we've never seen you in a dress before " Blake said.
" yeah that's right " Trevor smiled.
" wouldn't that be a given I wear the same grey clothes everyday " I said.
" what they mean is, they've seen us in dresses, but not you " Quinn said.
" I think I knew what they ment " we laughed.
We walked to class, I was glad that tomorrow we got the whole day off so we could get ready for the dance, I mean I probably don't need the whole day, but at least I get free time then.
I walked into the classroom and sat down in my normal spot, as the screen came down I noticed that Mr.Crash changed his background or moved somewhere else, but I knew it wasn't the same.
" I know all of you are probably so excited to get your dresses and suits today, but you still have to get your school work done " Mr.Crash said.
" so were going to the Study Hall so you can get writing your projects done " he said.
We all walked down the the Study Hall, Samuel and I sat beside each other.
" hey, I have a question " I said turning to face him.
" ok shoot " he said turning to look at me.
" do you like Leila? " I asked.
" what, no " he said.
" come on, I see the way you look at each other and i'm not a love expert, but it looks like love to me " I said.
" maybe feelings for her show up every once and awhile, but she wouldn't like me " he said,
" now why not? " I asked.
" for the longest time we have been friends and if anything could come between that like love it would just be weird, I do like her I like her alot, but I just don't want to rewan out friend ship " he said.
" how do you know it's going to rewan your friendship if you've never asked her how she feels " I said.
" let's just get back to work " he raised an eyebrow and turned back to face the computer.
" ok, but it's going to happen, I know it " I smiled and turned back to the computer to finish writing. Trevor was sitting across from me, he was just looking at the computer not typing, nothing, he kinda looked mad or even sad.
I kicked him, he looked up at me. " you good " I mouthed out giving him a thumbs up, he nodded his head and smiled.
I didn't think he was ok.

Class ended, I walked over to where I was yesterday, Winny walked up to me.
" what's going on? " she asked.
" I need you to see something, Quinn told me not to tell anyone else, but I had to tell you " I said.
We stood in front of the door, " open it " I said.
She placed her hand on the door, " what's in this room? " she asked.
" open it and see for yourself " I smiled.
She opened the door and took one step inside, " it's all real " I said closing the door behind us.
" why didn't Quinn want anyone to know? " she asked.
" I don't know, but she sounded scared when she told me " I said.
" she was just trying to protect you, I think ".
We sat down on one of the fallen logs.
" it's so pretty " she smiled.
" I know " I looked around again.
" how did you find this? " she looked at me concerned.
" I work in the Control Room, I can find anything " I smiled.
" I don't understand why no one knew about this room " she said,
" I think it's for the guards because they don't get to go outside either " I said.
" shouldn't we get going? " she asked.
" no, let's just stay here till dinner " I smiled.

" wait so yesterday when you were late it was because of this, and we all thought you were dating Dave " We laughed.
" yeah, that was embarrassing " I said.
" ok do you think Samuel and Leila would make a cute couple? " I asked.
" yes I do, I don't know why, but they look so cute together " she agreed.
The bell sounded for the second time, " guess we should get to dinner " Winny smiled taking one last look at the room.
We got up, we looked out the door to see if anyone was coming, after we ran down the hallway, as we walked into the Eating Hall, we walked over to the table everyone was already there.
" where were you guys, you went in the rooms? " Leila asked as we sat down at the table, we looked over at each other.
" we were just walking around talking " I said.
Quinn looked at me, " did you guys go anywhere other than the halls? " Quinn asked.
" no we didn't " I said.
" is everything ok? " Samuel asked.
" yup " Winny smiled looking over at Quinn.

After dinner Quinn pulled, Winny and I out to the hall.
" why did you go back there and with Winny? " she asked.
" I need to show her, she love nature " I said.
" why did you want her to show anyone? " Winny asked.
" I didn't want anything bad to happen, " she sighed.
" we won't go back ok " I said.
" good " she took a deep breath.
" but it was so pretty " Winny said.
" Winny, for your own safety promise me you won't go back " Quinn gabbed her hands.
" don't worry I won't " she smiled.
" and that's my cue to leave " I said walking away from them.
I walked into The Den to see all the boys playing basketball, " hey, come play " Samuel passed me the ball.
" as long as all of you are ready to get domanatied " I said.
" fine let's make a bet, if we win you own all of us a dance tomorrow and if you win that's your choice " Blake said.
" deal " I said.
" aren't you going to tell us what you want? " Trevor asked.
" no " I said throwing the basketball into the net, " and that's a point for me " I smiled.
An hour later, I had beat them.
" and I win " I smiled.
" how are you so good? " Blake asked.
" I have an older brother, I learned " I smiled walking over to the bench.
" see yeah tomorrow " Trevor and Samuel said.
" bye guys " I waved as I leaned over to tie my shoe.
Blake came and sat down on the bench beside me.
" why'd you take the bet if you knew you were going to win? " he asked.
" what? " I looked over at him.
" it's like you knew you were going to win, so why'd you take the bet? " he asked again.
" I don't know, competition " I shrugged.
" I think you took the bet because secretly you wanted to dance with on of us " he said.
" what that's crazy " I said sitting beside him.
" is it, if you didn't want to dance with any of us then why did you take the bet? " he asked.
" like I said, competition " I said getting up, he stood in front of me blocking my way.
" move " I said.
" not till you tell me " he said.
" I already did " I said.
He stared at me not saying anything.
" what are you doing? " I asked, he leaned closer to me, I slapped him in the face.
" stop being an ass " I said walking out of The Den and back to my room.

" and where we you? " Quinn asked.
" beating the boys at basketball " I smiled getting changed.
" wait are those our dresses? " I asked.
" yup, I love yours " she smiled.
" I love your too, it's going to look great with Winnys dress " I said sitting on the bed.
" i'm excited to she her's tomorrow well we're getting ready together " she smiled.
" see you tomorrow " Quinn rolled over.
" night " I rolled over.
It was almost time to dance.
