Love sickness

Chapter Six

    I sat at the table eating breakfast, I had not spoken yet. What Quinn said last night, I couldn't stop thinking about it, what if all of them did like me? What would I do? And why would they like someone who said they are never going to love?
" Vivian you ok? You haven't said a word all morning " Winny asked, I looked up from my food.
" what yeah i'm fine why wouldn't I be fine " I said looking back down.
Everyone looked over at me, " i'm just really tired " I said.
" understandable i'm tired too " Leila smiled.
I looked down at my lap and tucked my hair behind my ear. I looked up for a brief second to see Blake looking at me, I looked back down right away, just breath.
I walked into the study hall after breakfast to find Quinn there.
" hey, why would you tell me that about the guys, now, now I can't think straight " I said pacing back and forth.
" is that why you were acting all weird this morning? " she asked.
" is that why you were acting all weir- yes! It is " I yelled.
" sorry I didn't think you would freak out like this " she said.
" do you like one of them or something? " she added.
" what are you crazy no, there just friends nothing more " I sighed.
" I think you should tell them that " she said.
" it would be to weird I can't " I said.
" do you want me to- ".
" no please don't " I said.
" ok, " she looked back at the computer in front of her.
I got up and walked back down the hallway, I ran into Blake.
" hey " he smiled.
" hey " I said in an awkward tone.
" you ok, you seem uncomfortable " he noticed.
" yeah i'm fine " I smiled.
" ok " he walked away.
I ran into Lounge where Winny and Leila were talking about something.
" hey, I have a crises " I said.
" ok, tell us " they turned to me.
" last night Quinn told me all the guys probably like me and now I don't know what to do because I don't like them in that way and i'm freaking out " I so fast I didn't even understand what I just said.
" ok, first slow down, second Quinn is just trying to freak you out, she did it to me when I came, I mean I did know what love felt like, but just don't worry " Leila said.
" how can I not worry when we hang out with them everyday and I see them everyday and now that's all that is going to be on my mind " I said.
" ok just think of it this way, Samuel and Blake are two years older than you, why would they like someone way younger than them and Trevor it one year older he would be the only one to like you " Winny said.
" ok now i'm only worried about Trevor liking me, that doesn't help " I said.
" fine think of it this way then, people like you as a friend and it's the human way to flirt " Leila said.
" ok, I guess that works, thanks for the help " I smiled, I got up and walked away, I felt a little more settled now that I talked to all the girls, they know what love feels like so, they could tell me if one of the boys did like me.

I went for my shift in the control room, Dave left right when I got there, I sat down in the chair and opened up the free computer and started to work on the writing project, well trying to keep my eyes on the cameras at the same time.
I saw all the boys in the library, Leila in the Study Hall and Quinn and Winny I couldn't find them.
The boys looked like they were talking about sport, Trevor was talking too, he didn't seem like a big sport guy to me. Leila was working on the project as well, I couldn't remember what her's about, maybe a book, or something like that, or was that Quinn?
I finally found Winny and Quinn walking down the hallway, they looked around then stopped walking, they both smiled, a kiss, they kissed! I leaned in to see if what I was seeing was really happening, Quinn lied to me, they were already dating, why didn't see want me to know?
Wait Leila said Quinn told her the boys liked her too, but Winny never said that it happened with her too. It makes sense now, no one knows about them, but me.
I sat back in the chair, in shock, wow this is really happening, that's what love looks like.

Dave came back early, so I got to leave early, I stood in the doorway of the eating hall, Winny and Quinn were about to walk threw the doors, but I stopped them.
I pulled them over to the other side of the hallway.
" I work in the control room, I see everything, so something you want to tell me? " I asked.
" what? " Quinn asked.
" I saw you guys kiss " I said.
" kept it down " Winny said.
" please don't tell anyone, know one, but Leila knows about this all the boys think she's straight " Quinn said.
" I won't tell anyone, but I just want to know why you never told me about it " I said.
" you were new we still need to know if we can trust you " Winny said.
" who am I going to tell " I crossed my arms in disbelief.
" we know, ok, just don't say anything " Winny smiled.
" I won't promise " I smiled.

We walked into the Eating Hall, " why are you guys later? " Trevor asked.
" we needed to grab something " I said sitting down at the table.
" is anyone done the project yet? " I asked.
" when is that due again? " Blake asked.
" in two weeks " I said.
" good because I forgot " Blake took a sigh of relief.
" Vivina did you finish the book? " Trevor asked.
" yeah I did, the ending was so good " I smiled.
" do you want me to show you where the other books are? " Trevor asked.
" I think i'm going to forces on the project for now, but after for sure ".
" ok " Trevor looking over at Leila who was eating her food so fast we couldn't keep up.
" Leila slow down " Samuel said.
" sorry, it's just the Study Hall is always busy on sunday nights, I want to make sure I get a good spot " Leila said.
" doesn't mean you have to scarf down your food like a dog " Blake said.
" Blake you would understand if you truly did your school work " Leila rolled her eyes.
" is this just the week to dis Blake or something? " he asked.
" yeah I think so " Quinn said making everyone laugh.

" Viv do you have to work tomorrow? " Winny asked.
" no I only work wednesdays and the weekends " I said.
" really, I thought you worked all the time " Trevor said.
" nope " I smiled.
I go up from the table and walked into the library, sat down, I pulled out my notebook, something was going on, all the secret conversations, all the questions, why did they want to know the days I worked, its it that big of a deal? Maybe I'm blowing this way out of control, but maybe I'm not.
I didn't care if Quinn didn't want me to look around and snoop because she was keeping something from me they all are. I need to know what it is.
I wrote down everything I had so far, Trevor walked over and sat down beside me, I leaned on the book covering what I was writing down.
" what are you doing? " he asked.
" just writing " I smiled.
" are you sure you don't want me to show you the other books? " he asked again.
" you know what, sure, I need to get my mind off something anyway " I smiled.
We walked over to the tall book shelf, Trevor pulled out all the books, " the last two books would have to be my favorite, but don't skip to them or you will get so confused, trust me " Trevor smiled, out of the corner of my eyes I could sense him looking at me, a shiver went down my back.
I looked up at him and smiled.
