Chapter 16

I had no idea why I was so okay with this. Oh, wait. I wasn't. I may have acted calmly in front of Namjoon, but on the inside, I was freaking out. How the hell had I gone 17 years of my life without knowing about the existence of so-called 'mythical' creatures? More importantly, how did my history teacher know about them? It's astounding to believe that I thought he was utterly crazy until literally moments ago. 

Namjoon had left the room a couple of minutes back, he said he was going to find some people who he'd like me to meet. He'd told me that I would love them, and I'm sure I would, but they were werewolves. How was I meant to get along with them when I was oblivious to their existence barely an hour ago. 

He returned with six boys - all of whom were incredibly handsome. 
"Everyone. I would like you to meet Bora - my mate" he said proudly, prowling over to me and wrapping his arm around my shoulder. "Bora, this is Seokjin, Yoongi, Hoeseok, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook" he pointed to each one as he said their name. "Boys, would you please introduce yourself to your future Luna"

"Hey," said the one called Jin, "I'm Seokjin, but everyone just calls me Jin. I'm 18 years old, and once Namjoon takes over as Alpha, I will be his Beta. My dad is the current Beta of this pack and my mum works at the primary school. Currently, I work as a chef in the kitchen. I met my mate in the packhouse and her name is Jisoo. You'd love her - she's great"

Then the next one spoke. 
"Hi, I'm Yoongi, but you can call me Yoongi. I'm also 18 and unlike Jin, I don't have a mate. To be honest - I don't want one. Both my parents died when I was young but since then I was been taken on by Jimin's mother. I teach piano at the school and sometimes play it at formal events"
"I'm sorry for your loss," I said, feeling incredibly sad for him. 
"Don't be. It was a long time ago. Just don't fall in love. You'll only end up getting hurt". Namjoon let out a very exaggerated cough, which was a not so subtle way of telling him to shut up. 

Hoeseok was the next one to speak.
"Hey!" he giggled gleefully. "I'm Heoseok, but I don't mind if you call me J-hope. I work at the primary school and teach dance and drama - but I also train some of the under eights. We traveled the world to try and find Namjoons mate, and while we were in England I met my mate, Bridget. She lives here now and I'm sure you'll get along with her. My mum and dad work at the school as maths and English teachers" 

Next, it was Jimin's turn. 
"I'm Jimin. I came from the same pack as Sug-Yoongi, but it got attacked. Luckily, my mum survived so she cares for me and Yoongi now. I'm a newly qualified guard and haven't met my mate yet. She's close though. I can feel it. My mum works as a trainer for teenagers who want to become guards and also is head of cybersecurity"

Taehyung spoke after.
"Please call me Tae. I work with my grandma on our packs farm with my father and my mum is a seamstress. I'm haven't got my mark yet, which means that I'm not able to find out who my mate is. But when I get it, I'll be searching for them like crazy"

The final one to speak was Jungkook. 
"I'm Jungkook. I'm the youngest out of Namjoon's friends and in the werewolf world, we call that the maknae. Tae is my best friend, and I'm training to become a guard just like Jimin. I also haven't gotten my mark, but I still think I'll get it before Tae. My mum is best friends with Tae's and also works with her, my dad is a guard".

Soon after their introductions, they left. I had so many questions.
"What's on your mind little one?' asked Namjoon, sitting on his bed and patting the space next to him. I sat down before replying. 
"I'm so confused," I said honestly. 
"Feel free to ask me questions, all answer everyone I can"
"Do you all live in the same house?" 
"Not all of us, but we all live in the pack's territory. This is the main pack house which is where the Alpha and Beta family stay, along with the canteen and most of our businesses. We are a self-sustained village. We have seamstresses which make our clothes; chefs which cook our meals; farmers which grow our food and other raw materials. You think of a job, we have it"
"What about a spa"
"Yep"
"Hairdressers"
"It's on the first floor"
"Power plant"
"Yep, geothermal power plant"
"So you really have everything"
"Anything you could possibly think of baby, it's within the boundary line"

"I have another question," I said after a while. 
"Shoot"
"What did Tae mean that he's not old enough to find his mate?"
"Every werewolf is different. From the age of 14 to 21, male wolves will get their mark. I got mine when I was 15, and since then, I've been looking for you" he said
"But how do you know when you've got your mark"
"On your right hip, a small crescent-shaped scar appears. Once that happens it means you've truly gotten your wolf senses. This means you will be able to smell your mate from 200 hundred meters away and will have an urgent need to find them as soon as possible. Also, only males can get the mark, well females can too, but that guarantees her mate will be female. The females - or submissive male in a gay relationship - won't know when they're able to find their mate, but as soon as contact is made, they know it's them". 

Don't get me wrong, Namjjon was really good at explaining these things, but I still knew I had loads to do before I completely understood these creatures - let alone date one.
