*Bora's POV*

The night of the party:

This probably doesn't make any sense, but I wasn't mad at Grifin. I understood his hostility towards me, I was a whole new kind of species to him. He had the right to be angry - he was nervous. Namjoon, on the other hand, had no right to lash out at him like that. I know that Grifin was strangling me, and it was nice of him to pull me away from danger, but to hit him with such hatred after? That was purely overreacting.

I'd just ran out of the dining room, using my height as an advantage to duck under peoples legs. The corridor which I was greeted with outside, was empty. Everyone was in the dining room, which meant there was no witness to where I was going next. It may have only been a few days, but I knew exactly where Namjoon would look for me first. He'd run around the house, looking in places which were impossible for me to fit into, before heading outside. I used these facts to my advantage.

I sprinted out of the house, hiding behind a flower pot which was outside the main entrance, right beside the front door. This is where I waited until I was sure Namjoon was about to come outside. I snuck around the front of the house, to find the nearest open window. It was a little way away from the front door, but where I could see when it opened. Namjoon rushed out a short while later and began looking around the main front garden. This was my opportunity to climb back inside the house. Fortunately, no one was around so I assumed that Namjoon had instructed them all to stay in the dining room. Everyone would be out soon though, I needed to find a stop to hide where no one would look. I walked around the corridors for a while until I spotted the door which led to the dungeons. Perfect. This was the least likely place which anyone would come.

There were around five cells, and they were all empty. I concluded to hide in the one at the back, I'm sure Grifin would be down here soon, and just like they did with me, they'd throw him in the first available cell. Far away from me. After they'd left I could talk to Grifin, maybe he'd be calmer now.

Sure enough, a short while later, two guards brought a limp Grifin into the cells. They threw him in the first one before leaving without a second thought. Once I was sure that no one would come down here anytime soon, I left my cell and approached Grifin's. He was lying on the floor in a position which could only be comfortable in unconsciousness. One wound on his left cheek was still raw but all the others were either coated with a scab or dry blood. Being the idiot which I was, I attempted to giggle open the door, that was until I realized it was locked. I turned around, scouring the walls for some kind of key when a blood-curdling growl froze me in place. I recognized it instantly as Grifin's.
"What are you doing here?" I turned around to face him. He was standing now; his hands gripping relentlessly as the bars - turning his knuckles white.
"I came to look for you" I replied honestly, "I was just looking for the key"
"You were going to free me?"
"Yeah, I'm sorry for what Namjoon did"
"Why?"
"I understand why you don't like me-"
"You do?"
"Yeah, I'm a whole new species to you. You had a right to be hostile"
"So you're mad at him?" he asked, a glint of something I didn't understand in his eyes.
"He had no right to act like that"
"I'm so glad you feel that way, you have no idea"
"Do you know where the keys are?"
"Don't worry about that. I'll call my pack, they'll come and get me. All I ask is that you wait with me"
