Chapter 28

I marked her. My teeth sunk deep into her skin as a tear rolled down my check. She couldn't die. She just couldn't. This had to work.

I took a step back from her; inspecting her for any change in her health. It seemed like forever before anyone said anything. When Yoongi finally spoke, I wasn't sure whether I wanted to punch him or cry against his shoulder. 
"I don't think it worked," he said. As much as I hated to admit it, it was true. Her eyes were closed and she hadn't moved since I set her down there. I began to walk towards her when a pain of undescribably trama broke through me. She was about to die. 
"Baby girl, please don't die on me" I pleaded crawling towards her. This could not be happening. 

Everything seemed to stop when I reached out my hand and stroked her cheek. All the boys were silent and not even the birds chirped anymore.
"Please" I whispered, placing a final kiss on her forehead. 

Before I had even taken my next breath, her body began to glow. Was this her soul entering heaven? That's what I thought until the light suddenly became brighter. For a split second, she was brighter than all the stars in the sky until all the light radiating from her body vanished - leaving her in a state of darkness. 
"What just happened?" asked Jungkook, an utter shook expression held on his face. I was about to tell him I had no idea when she sat up suddenly. She was panting heavily and a layer of sweat had formed all over her face. She turned to face us but scooted away when she saw us. 
"Get away!" she exclaimed. 
"Bora!" I was so happy to see her conscious that I completely dismissed what she had just said. I ran towards her, gripping her tightly once my arms were around her. "You scared the crap out of me!"
"Get away!" she yelled again, struggling her best to escape my embrace. 
"I'm never leaving your side ever again baby girl" 

At that moment, I felt a strong force come over me and before I knew it, I was on the floor 5ft away from her. What the hell? How did that just happen? 
"Why do I feel like this?" she asked, still staying far away from us. We all looked at each other, contemplating what to sat. That was until Yoongi opened his big mouth. 
"Namjoon marked you" 
"What do you mean 'marked'?
"He sunk his canines into your neck - there isn't much too it really. He just claimed you as his"
"I'm confused, why did he claim me as his?"
"You were dying, it was the only hope - I don't know what happened really - seeing as no human has ever been mated to one of us before, but it seemed to heal you"
"What does marking mean?"
"It's something werewolves do when they find their mate, normally it's done straight away, but seeing as your human you have special circumstances. It just shows that you belong to him and of course speeds up the mating process". I swear to god, this guy needed to keep his mouth shut. 

Bora seemed shocked for a couple of seconds but she quickly gained composure and replied. 
"I don't belong to him," she said, disgust laced her voice. 
"Yes, you do!" I exclaimed, standing up and walking towards her. Jin was quick to stop me, whispering a harsh 'don't' in my ear. 
"I don't know what makes you think you can just claim me! I'm not an object"
"No, you're so much more than an object and you are my mate"
"Have you ever considered that I don't want to be your mate!" 
"You're lying"
"No! Your pathetic excuse for father took me from my school - where I was happy! I don't want to be stuck with you and your stupid pack of dogs". 

It was at this point that I had to turn around and try to calm myself down. I wasn't angry about her insults to me and my pack - I was surprised she hadn't said them sooner - but I was incredibly annoyed at how she just dismissed me as her mate just like that. We are soulmates! How can she not feel at least some kind of attration to me! 
"I'll see you back at the pack house" I replied calmly, jesturing for Hoseok, Jin and Tae (the ones who were best equipped for dealing with this situation) to bring her back too.
