Chapter 27

I woke up to an empty bed.

Looking around at my room the sunlight beamed in through the white delicate curtains lighting up the whole room. I looked over to my left with a pout.

How i wished he was here.

Sitting up i grabbed my mobile phone and dialled my husband's cell.

"Hey" his throaty voice answered after the third tone. His tone laced with exhaustion.

"Hey I didn't see you in bed" i smiled through the phone playing with a strand of my hair.

"I'm still caught up with work" He sighed

"You can't do this to yourself Dom you need to rest" i frowned.

"Please come home please" I insisted grabbing the phone tighter in my hand.

"I'll be home in an hour" He sighed again and cut my call.

Satisfied i climbed out of bed to change.

By the time i got ready for breakfast the front door opened and a very tired looking Dominic walked. He threw his watch and phone on the table roughly, indicating a foul mood.

I quickly cleaned my hands on the wipe and walked to him putting my hands on his cheek. He sighed at my touch and leaned in to hand.

"Come on let's have something to eat and then you can sleep" I looked into his blood shot red tired eyes and he nodded.

We had breakfast in silence and he retreated to our room without a word.

Cleaning up a bit i left a small note and got in my car driving to the grocery shop to get some groceries for dinner.

I got everything i needed and then decided on going to the salon to look a little pampered. If Dominic and i were going to mate tonight then i might as well be a little physical and both mentally prepared. Just the thought of it gave me butterflies and anxious at the same time.

By the time i reached home Dominic was still sleeping and i was grateful. He needed all the rest he could. I started on dinner and desert making sure everything was perfect.

I had to get ready for myself and I silently tip toed to our bedroom trying not to wake Dominic up grabbed everything i needed and sprinted to the guest bathroom.

I showered long and easy, lathering expensive body wash and shampoo on, scrubbing every part of my body and moisturising it too. I chose simple yet sexy underwear and wore a dark green silk short spaghetti dress.

I slightly curled my hair from the bottom giving it extra volume and applied light pink lipstick. I could hear the bathroom door of our room shut indicating that Dominic was up.

I began to get anxious and nervous now. The nervousness of what was going to happen hit me like a ton of bricks and I began to sweat.

I shook my head and walked downstairs fumbling with my hands.
What if he doesn't like this? What if he thinks all this is too much? Shit I shouldn't have worn this stupid dress im overdressed! I stared at the dressed clinging to my skin in disappointment.

I was such an idiot.

I needed to change. I turned to change and bumped into something hard. Two arms wrapped around my waist holding me in place and i met with beautiful pair of eyes.

"I've been admiring how beautiful you looked for the past minute" he smirked down at me.

"You're so fucking beautiful, so fucking special" He whispered staring in my eyes, pushing a strand of hair behind my ear.
